“I just completed (and passed) the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs). This included an intensive weekend with other students, learning within a classroom setting to fully understand the techniques. The teacher and venue were great. I then embarked on the online course. It was comprehensive and I felt I learnt loads over the duration. Would definitely recommend this to others who are searching for a TEFL qualification - thanks!”

“I would recommend the TEFL Academy to anyone looking at gaining their TEFL accreditation. The learning materials were well written, going into lots of detail. The quality of the tutor support was good - I raised an online ticket to clarify my understanding on one of the grammar modules, and also for some clarification of the task on the final assessments, and these were picked up and answered in a matter of hours. The two final assessments were challenging, but provided a really useful insight into lesson planning and creating your own teaching activities. I found the weekend classroom methods course invaluable, and a lot of fun. Overall, the TEFL Academy course offers high quality teaching support, and I thought this was great value for money.”

“I found the practical component of this course really gave me the skills and confidence to teach in a real world classroom. The teacher was very good, and offered great examples of how one should behave and teach in the classroom. The online component feels a little overwhelming at times, and does not hold back any information at all. This means one can sometimes feel that there is too much, but once the practical component has been completed the online parts become much clearer. I would recommend this TEFL course to anyone.”

“I really enjoyed the TEFL course that I did through TEFL Academy! I studied the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs), I took the one that included the practical training session from an expert/qualified teaching here in South Africa. That helped me so much! It made me do my assignments much quicker and better understand what was expected of me. The course is structured in a very good way, lots of examples, focused topics - pronunciation, grammar, about English the language, how to give a lesson, lesson planning, lesson activities/exercises, how to be a good teacher etc. and they also focused on teaching a variety of age groups so that you could know how to teach/approach all of them. Now I just need to get some experience and that takes time, but great to know that I can teach online and part-time and also overseas if I want to travel. Thanks TEFL Academy - loved your course and the opportunities you are giving me!”

“The Course I pursued, the 168h option, was very extensive and detailed. It looked at all aspects of teaching English as a foreign language, be it vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, or simply daily situations that can be roleplayed for experience and practice. The practical classroom weekend was also very useful and well organised, being basically an extremely condensed version of the entire course. Overall, I am very pleased with the course itself, with the resources provided and the help and support available.”

“I really enjoyed doing the online TEFL level 5 of 168hours course with the TEFL academy. The work was presented in an easy and simplified way, but the assignments still had a challenge to it. I feel much better equipped to be teaching foreigners now than before.”

“Firstly, our South African english is so much different. So, from the very first module, I was captivated and challenged. I love teaching English and was lucky to gain some experience over the years. The modules were well written and I adapted easily to them. The course has enhanced my English to a different level. “I recently completed the TEFL Academy Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs). While challenging, it was my first experience studying EFL teaching and with online learning, I really enjoyed the entire course. The 20 hour classroom introduction and learning combined with the online course makes a very comprehensive prospectus. The course has given me the confidence and encouragement to pursue a career in EFL teaching, my next step will be to travel and gain classroom experience. Thank you TEFL Academy!”

“For many years I wondered whether I would make a capable teacher, both in terms of standing up in front of a class and the amount of knowledge required to deliver a lesson. I finally got up the nerve to join the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) programme and it was the best decision ever! The 20 hours of immersion learning and teaching was challenging and fun, with knowledgeable and caring instructors. The online course was well-delivered and thorough, with knowledge tests and exercises throughout before having to attempt the final test in the unit. The gradual guidance to the aims of each section provided every opportunity to excel. Any issues that I had were promptly addressed by the support staff. They were all excellent - often going beyond the original request and offering advice, encouragement and further testing opportunities in areas with which I struggled. I highly recommend this course. There are many others out there, but the pre-course administration, on-course assistance and post-course follow up speaks to a level of professionalism that is a pleasure to engage with. Now that I've got my certification, the world is my classroom! I can't wait to start the journey.”

“I've just finished Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) and it was great experience - both during the weekend classes, which were so much fun, and online. At first I was nervous as my self-confidence is not on a high level although after going through all the units and learning more and more about teaching I realized it might not be as scary as I thought to go into the classroom and start teaching :) I recommend it to everyone who wants to start the journey with teaching!”
