“I successfully completed the 168 hr combined TEFL course and feel confident that I now have the skills and knowledge to teach English to speakers of foreign languages. The course was well structured and easy to work through - the assignments were a bit challenging but rewarding to complete. I would recommend this course to anyone considering this type of teaching.”

“I completed the combined 168 hour course (online course and 20 hour classroom element) in February 2020 and would highly recommend this company! The online course covers a lot of content and the classroom element gives you a chance to demonstrate what you have learned which greatly improved my confidence in front of a class. My only criticism is that once your enrolment ends you lose access to everything including the final module on job guidance and cv writing, so if you don’t plan on getting a job straight away this can be a problem.”

“This course was worth the money. This 168-hr course covered a large scope of topics related to teaching ESL, much of which I've been able to put to use in planning lessons, class activities, and student management. It is designed to be convenient, touching on basic concepts, and being predominantly online. Online inquiries were answered within 48 hours. I feel that this course informed me about the basics of teaching English to various groups, and gave me the confidence to instruct material in classroom environments. The class was very practical, and the instructors (Paul) very helpful. The TEFL Academy was built a foundation to start my dream career as a teacher. With the knowledge I learned, I am more informed about next steps and education needed for my career path.”

“Hi; the content was excellent, But the course presentation, access to previous learnt items, and basic captivating quality of the pages was abysmal! After doing i-i level three(also weird to navigate but presented well), I found the screen boring , not outlay ed well and also not user friendly The overall web design shud also be different”

“I really enjoyed the TEFL Academy 168 hour course. The content was thorough, well organised and included a multitude of interesting and suitably challenging assignments. The TEFL Academy provided me with a depth of resources which I will use throughout the beginning stages (and maybe later) of my teaching career. I am thankful to the creators of the course and those individuals who provided extensive feedback on my assignments. The TEFL Academy were a joy to be taught by.”

“Great online course at a reasonable price. The online material provided a lot of quality resources, ideas for activities and games, and useful information. The 2-day workshop, however, was a bit disappointing as I found it quite slow and boring (and very long!). But overall, it's a great course.”

“Getting certified with the TEFL Academy was definitely a worthwhile experience! I opted for the Qualifi Level 5 (168 hours) Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and found that not only were the units packed full of useful and applicable information but also that the feedback given after each assignment was constructive and encouraging. I feel adequately prepared to begin my online teaching experience and would definitely recommend the TEFL Academy!”

“The Level 5 (168 hour) course was extremely valuable in learning the foundations and application of this type of teaching. The information was comprehensive, easy to navigate, and had sufficient ongoing testing to check understanding of learning outcomes. The 20 hour practical workshop was extremely valuable, and I would recommend it as part of all TEFL online courses. The facilitator was knowledgeable, professional and encouraged free thought, participation and creativity. The assignments were interesting and helped to promote research, creativity and detailed application of course knowledge.”

“I was a student for a number of years it's nice to have the perspective of the teacher too. There's a lot I didn't know about my native language! Really enjoyed learning about how to teach effectively. I worked through the online course in around 2-3 months. The content was interesting and the assignments were very challenging. The practical classes were fun, and it was useful to try out some of what I'd learned, and to feed off the experience of the instructor. I would say try and make the most of this time! Now I feel pretty well prepared to start working as an English teacher. Still a lot to learn but this course does prepare you very well I think.”

“I found the course very thorough and well set out. I feel that it would be useful, for learning purposes, to see a marked script to see exactly what could be improved for the assignments. Alternately, a memo of sorts would be useful. In addition, I feel the in-person course could include more unique content that is not in the online course. While I found it very useful because of interactions with a teacher and fellow learners, some new content would have been appreciated. Overall, I would definitely recommend the TEFL Academy Level 5 (168 hour) course”

“I recently completed the Level 5 TEFL course. I found the course to be very helpful and presented in a clear, effective manner. I would say that I found some of the marking to be a bit erratic. I believe this is due to different markers being used, however, I think that it might be better for the same person to mark a candidate's work. I am interested in teaching online and so will be enrolling in the TEFL academy's course which specifically focuses on that as well. I think the course provided access to a lot of extra information and resources, which I really appreciated. I believe the course has been really successful in making me think about how to truly be an exceptional teacher.”
