“Has always been difficult to buy metric only tapes in the uk, why anybody still uses a duel one I have no idea, 1st class service and choice, fast delivery and and a lot easier than a trip over to Calais.”

Hi Martin, many thanks for your review - I completely appreciate where you're coming from! Some time back we made a decision to stock a wide selection of metric-only tapes - it seemed bizarre to us that the majority of retailers were selling metric/imperial tapes when imperial is used less and less. “This is our first order, I phoned to speak with an advisor, lines were busy and was ask to leave my name & number and an advisor would ring me back. Always jubious of this, but my mind was quickly put to rest. Within half hour, an advisor rang. After dealing with my query, the advisor took my order & payment and the following working day I received my Tapes before lunchtime. I shall use The Tape Store again - thank you.”

“I recently bought a Leica Disto D110 which I admit is a bit of a toy for me. it is not truly tested as yet but first plays are very encouraging: distance to the tip of the dog's tail when sleeping in favourite basket position from the edge of desk is 4.189metres. No anti lase goggles are supplied but she took heed of my warning to look away whilst I fired the laser. Leaving aside that UPS got into a pickle in their warehouse over next day delivery which is free from the Tape-store and that their price was as keen as any I could find on the net it was the conversation I had with the fellow at the tape-store that made the difference. I was on for a D210 and in conversation found that the D110 is a bit cheaper, has blue-tooth and can be used in conjunction with Leica Sketch. It doesn't have as many buttons so it must be inferior (of course) and can't do Pythagoras theorem but ready calculators are to be found on the net and you just plug in the same two values. The point is the Tape-store were not just interested in the sale but took the time to help me make the right choice aside, that is from not buying it at all.”

“Excellent service. Courier was delayed (only by one day) but The Tape Store rang around for me and called me back with a time of delivery. My new Leica L2 is great. There is a test explained in the user manual of how to check accuracy. My unit is spot on.”
