“I have yet to receive the product due to issues unknown within the so called Royal Mail. I ordered a product from Olimex in Bulgaria just before placing an order with PiHut; it came in less than three days and I was able to track its progress in detail all the way courtesy of DHL. It is now day six from order and I know not where my order is!”

“This is a real 'value for money' PoE solution for our Engineering Shop Floor. The PICO-2 Ethernet and PoE Module make for a really simple to set up core for a wide variety of sensor/monitor applications. The PICO-2 is powerful enough for everything except real-time video. A few observations. The PoE buck convertors are fine - cheap, but effective. However, decoupling on the VBUS rail is essential. Add 470uF and 220nF across the rail. Also radiated noise can be a problem so we've chosen to use headers on the PoE module to put a little space between the convertor and PICO board. That's good practice in any case. Our implementation adds TFT displays, keypads and a range of sensors. We found it very sensible to add additional decoupling near these extensions - not strictly necessary but it makes sure that high speed SPI is as reliable as possible. We found online 'chat'/tutorials very helpful (and accurate). Recommendations The PoE module is commendably cheap, but the lack of high frequency decoupling (and PoE to board isolation) could be improved. Conclusion Any PoE solution < £20 earns 5*.”

“I've had a 100% experience shopping with Pi Hut. They have great stock, everything they have supplied has been good quality and has arrived on time and securely packaged. One faulty breakout board was replaced instantly with no quibbles. When I stupidly ordered the wrong motors (entirely my fault), they made the swap straight away. Great products and fantastic customer service... what's not to like?”
