Excellent service and quick delivery. A good range of hardware available along with advice on what works best in various scenarios. I built an ADS receiver with a Raspberry Pi 4 and it is now helping feed information to Flight Radar 24. Thank you.

Great experience ordering from The Pi Hut. Everything arrived quickly, well packed, and exactly as described. I used the parts for a custom Raspberry Pi cyberdeck project built into a rugged portable case, including power monitoring, RGB lighting, and small electronics integration. The components were easy to work with, the product pages were clear, and the store had the kind of niche boards, cables, and accessories that are hard to find in one place. The Pi Hut has been especially useful for Raspberry Pi and ESP32-style builds where I need reliable parts without guessing if something will actually be compatible. Overall, excellent service, good selection, and a very useful shop for makers, Raspberry Pi projects, electronics tinkering, and custom portable builds. I’ll definitely order from them again.

Pi Hut delivered my Raspberry Pi 5 kit very quickly and all in order. I also ordered the Raspberry Pi Handbook so I could get into the RPi, but it's mostly inspiration about other people's projects and lots about the new RPi 500+ ... so it's not a "get going" handbook as I expected! But my biggest surprise was how flakey the RPi 5 is. The two pre-installed browsers both crash so quickly they are unusable; the terminal crashes; and Thonnny freezes so the RPi regularly needs rebooting (you can't do anything else). I've fixed Firefox by disabling WebGL and hardware acceleration - but ironically you need a *working* computer to be able to find out how to do that! I've also installed Tabby (a decent terminal app), which amongst other things lets you rebind keys, which are chaotic on the RPi as bindings aren't done in one place by the system. I can see RPi is great fun to play with, and lots of people certainly have enormous fun with it, but you mustn't use it for anything you want to depend on. Or possibly my RPi and/or its SD card have faults, but then the quality control is suspect, and that also means you mustn't use an RPi for anything you want to depend on. I bought the RPi to make a video sciart installation. It isn't reliable enough to run all day, let alone all week, by a long way. Instead I've recorded the HDMI output, edited out glitches, and will be playing the looping video from a USB stick stuffed into a TV. (Which also has the advantage the exhibition curator knows how to switch on a TV in the morning if somebody switches it off over night.) Sigh! harold@thimbleby.net

The HAT was initially out of stock but, as always, the notification arrived as soon as supplies were available and then the delivery was fast, arrived when expected, and the items carefully packaged.

I picked up the PI500 a few days ago and honestly I was not expecting to be this impressed. Right out of the box it felt solid and well thought out, and once I got it set up I could see straight away that this was something a bit special. The build quality is noticeably good and the whole thing just works without any fuss, which is exactly what you want. Now here is where it gets interesting. I decided to swap out the SD card that came with it for a higher quality one, and while I was doing that I had my Raspberry Pi sitting nearby for comparison. I have been a fan of the Raspberry Pi for years and genuinely recommend it to anyone who asks, but I have to be honest and say that the PI500 felt noticeably quicker in day to day use. Pages loaded faster, applications opened without that slight hesitation I sometimes get on the Pi, and the whole experience felt more polished and responsive overall. What really won me over though was using it as a proper desktop machine. I had it connected to my monitor with a keyboard and mouse and it genuinely felt like sitting at a real computer. I was browsing, writing, managing files and doing a bit of light work all without any complaints from the machine whatsoever. For the price and the size of the thing that is quite remarkable. If you are on the fence about whether something this compact can hold its own as an everyday desktop, I would say go for it. It has completely changed how I think about small form factor computing and I find myself reaching for it more and more. Thoroughly recommended.

The hammer head connectors were good. I just found that my fitting of them was not. I had a lot of fiddle to make all 32 pins connect. I eventually gave up and paid someone to solder them in place. Delievery was swift and th eproduct probably great in principle. The user was rubbish!

I had emailed PiHut prior to purchasing. All fine Except the standoffs supplied with the case are too long. Other than that delivery was fast and everything is as should be.

The order was shipped so fast like they were just waiting by the door to post it after I clicked "pay". Cannot comment on the item itself. Not tested yet.
