“Brownies were good, however, delivery was delayed (DPD)- with no reason given or update for over 20 hours. They therefore didn't arrive for my husband's birthday- gifts mean little when 24 hours late so i was very disappointed! Please review your courier. Liz Browne”

“We’d had brownies before - but not like this. Slightly powdery, granular and disappointing. Lots with the Taste mark. And they weren’t tasty. We’d had them before, but won’t buy again.”

“Normally love the brownies/blondies from here. Last box though i have to say was average as the nutella blondie and classic blondie were both quite dry. Hopefully just a one off”

Hi There, thank you for the review. I am very sorry to hear that your brownies were not delivered to the correct recipient. I note that you requested delivery to a hospital, which means the parcel would've been taken to their general 'goods in' area and then distributed internally from there. As such, it is typically best to contact the hospital directly for further information if you have no heard from the intended recipient. “Great Brownies Shame the gift card was missing I had to ask my friends if they received their box of brownies, which resolved their mystery but took the edge off the gift for me.”

“I ordered a box of 4 mixed flavours at Xmas. Beautiful packaging. I was very disappointed with the size and texture of them. The 4 small brownies were very dry on the sides and top of the brownies. The blondie was tasteless. This is my honest opinion and review on these brownies. I feel for the price I paid, they are not worth it”

Our brownies are around 70g each, which is slightly larger than the average brownie sold at leading cafes and retailers, however we are always happy to take such feedback on board. In response to your comments regarding texture and taste, our brownies are always made in small batches and we have not received any other negative feedback indicating a problem with your particular batch. “It's a fantastic idea & would've loved to know how they taste. Unfortunately our delivery didn't go very well and the contents were inedible. The company were really lovely though & gave a full refund. Also delivered on time, so had the courier been more careful, it would've been amazing”

“The Brownies were purchased as a present, and I understand they were delicious. However there were issues with the delivery. They were not delivered on the day I requested, despite receiving a confirming email in the morning. I had to ask for them to be delivered to a different address the following day. I understand this is an issue with the courier and the company did say they were going to raise a complaint, but I have heard nothing further. So not the best experience unfortunately.”

“The Brownies were beautiful. Each recipe was fantastic and beautifully baked and decorated. My slight disappointment comes with the delivery of them. I was informed that they could not be delivered before Monday which I accepted. However they arrived on Saturday which meant that they sat on the doorstep for 2 days until we returned home which was not ideal.”

“I ordered the Valentines special which came with 2 x blondies, which were nice not as sweet as expected which was a good thing 2 x Chocolate which were okay, not gooey 2 x Red Velvet which were dry and didn’t taste if anything Overall I was a bit disappointed. This was my second order, the first went to a friend who told me theirs were delicious. Hopefully she wasn’t just being polite.”

“This box was not the best. A couple of the brownies crumbled when I picked them up and one was practically raw in the center. I think I'll stick to ordering just once a year again to avoid disappointment for such an expensive treat to be just OK.”

Thanks for the feedback Leah and sorry to hear that you weren't completely satisfied. If you could send some images through to office@homemadebrownie.co.uk we'll get this looked into straightaway for you. We'd be interested to see which of the ones crumbled as that's unusual with our regular brownies, but we note you had the M&M Brookie in this box so would be keen to understand if that was the issue (as the cookie base is more crumbly by nature) - obviously it still shouldn't have crumbled though so we'd like to investigate. Whilst our products are lightly baked to give them a moist and fudgy texture (particularly the Blondies that you had in this box) it's highly unlikely that anything could have got through our checks and been sent out raw - if you're able to send us some images we will obviously get this checked for you though. Thanks again for the feedback and sorry again that you weren't completely happy this time.
