delivery nice and early but driver did not give me a ticket showing how many ltrs went in to my tank, ?

Easy to order and very competitive price but there was a delivery delay. Delivery was due on a Friday but delayed until Monday. We only found this out by ringing ourselves. Moral of the story, don't leave until the last minute to order. Fortunately we didn't.

Fine. Went with you as cheapest quote , marginally. Waited around two weeks for delivery and actual price was no lower than a competitor delivering quicker. Fuss-free however and refunded the unused portion ordered automatically.

very good on price - took a couple of days to confirm order and order/delivery date however 3rd party supplier was also a day late delivering - not the club's fault but they should be aware overall its okay and worthwhile as price was good

Didn't get the requested prior warning the day before delivery, so no access was possible when the tanker driver arrived a day early and texted me a 10 minute advanced warning!!

They turned up early, great. But they didnt call the day before like I had put on the form, luckly I was in. This is the second time this has happened!

Great price but communication with regards to delivery of the oil was non existent except a 'will be delivered by' advice at point of order. Oil was delivered on the 'by' date and not before.

Delivered very early just before 8.00h. before I had placed the additive by the atnk or unlocked the tank. In future I will know to put everything ready the prior evening.

A long wait for delivery which meant we were out of oil during the coldest days of winter. They should have been better prepared for when customers need heating oil most.

Was not best pleased when the driver turned up with no warning that he was coming. I had to drive back and let him in. He was a friendly guy and apologized on behalf of your company. Must do better next time.

The price was good, but I couldn't have the tank filled as I had requested - and as it said on the website I could. The delivery was a day late, and there was noone there to monitor - the delivery company told the club that it had been delivered on the 13th, but it was on the 14th (as per the delivery slip) So, I may use the club again due to the price, but certainly not for the convenience.

Occasionally not everything goes tom plan, some orders were running a little late at that time due to very high order volumes, bad weather etc. which is also why they could not offer top up at that time. Thanks for the review though, its appreciated. Mark.
On previous occasions yes, with my latest order not happy. A delivery order, confirmed 26th November was not delivered due to the Tanker Driver believing there was a fault with the tank. So now my premises is marked as 'defective tank'. I am quite happy with the delivery driver using his judgement regarding delivery of fuel to prevent potential environmental damage if a tank fails. However my examination of the tank could only find a miniscule hairline crack in the gel coating of the tank, which is 18 years old. I do wonder what training or qualification that the tanker driver holds to declare a tank unsafe? So I decide to replace the tank, (which became a long drawn out saga, nothing to do with The Heating Oil Club), so I am over £600 down on having to replace an (allegedly) defective tank. The tank is eventually replaced and I re order oil on the 14th December, even though I asked the Heating Oil Club to hold my order pending advise on replacing the tank. The new order price is now nearly £45 more and as Christmas is coming delivery is not scheduled until beginning the 28th of December. It is now Christmas and my heating oil has now run out and it is freezing cold. Fortunately I transfer 200 litres from my sons house who fortunately lives close by. 28th December no sign of delivery, despite chasing up. Apparently the cold weather has affected deliveries. (just like it affected the delivery of my replacement tank). POOR excuse what if the depot caught fire and they called the Fire Service to be told attendances are two days late due to 'The Weather'. Oil eventually arrives on the 4th January HOORAY. But no Christmas present for the wife as I could not afford it!

Well, this was quite an unusual one but when it comes to HSE and environmental matters, in this case a split tank, we have to respond to the advice of our suppliers, they are experts in these things and all drivers are trained in tank inspection. The price issue is a little mute I feel as no supplier will hold a price for the length of time suggested in terms of a tank replacement, prices were always going to rise as we went into December and Christmas. You did email me saying that you were 'only joking about the Fire Service response' - and we really did pull the stops out to get your oil to you. All that said, the problems encountered with the weather were obvious for all to see but we would still normally expect to do better. The supplier did hold up their hands as for some reason, your account was not updated and still showed as 'unsafe' due to the earlier identified problem. Please give us another try - hopefully when we are not within the peak of the Christmas rush! Thanks. Mark.
I find that the Heating Oil Club consistently has given a reliable and good value service in the past. Although I was not so happy this time the oil price you found for me was still relatively good

Asked to be called an hour before delivery as access needs to be unlocked, was called 2 mins before, luckily I was nearby so was able to get back in time. I know these requests are passed onto the delivery company by THOC and therefore they have no control over whether these are acted on or not, just a bit annoying really but not the end of the world!

Took advantage of a weekend price drop to order 1000ltrs and got 875ltrs in - still getting used to the oil watchman kit. Would have given 5 stars but there was no indication of delivery date so had to get out of shower to open tank lock. Having spoken to other members who say they get a text or some form of notification then this is irritating. Pricing remains keen but competitors are sharpening up.

There was a 'delivery by date' sent by email, all of our members benefit from this. It is also true that some members get either a text or call before delivery, but those members all ask for that in our 'special instructions' area, unfortunately you did not make such a request.
