Hello Sandy, Just to say that it was a shame, considering that we seem to have done everything right, that you chose to give us a somewhat negative review. We did email you, we email everybody on receipt of order and when the supplier accepts the order. Was expecting a phone call before delivery as always, we have chickens in the area where the tank is and have been able to lock them away prior delivery. Luckily when delivery was made they did not escape.

Online service was good along with pricing. However, the delivery notes clearly recorded on the order were not passed to the supplier. The delivery arrived when it shouldn't have which could have resulted in a delivery failure or issues with my neighbours. In future please ensure the notes are passed to the supplier and that the supplier reads them.

Hello and thanks for your note. The details were passed to our supplier and they contacted you with a text message to the mobile telephone number supplied to us. I accept that you might have preferred a telephone call but during busy times, it becomes very difficult to call everyone who'd like to be contacted and consequently an automated text service is used. It was easy to get a quote, without even having to give my email address. The oil came within the predicted time. Buying oil through this club's website is easy. However, giving an approximate number of litres required and stating "Fill up tank" in the special delivery instructions was not enough. I underestimated what I needed, and they only put in the number of litres I estimated; it would have been better if I overestimated a bit. Perhaps the FAQ could be updated to reflect this.

Good afternoon, Thanks for your comments, which are mostly very positive. I understand your situation but our suppliers are only allowed to deliver the amount ordered, or less for example when there isn't enough room in the tank to fit the whole amount in. Under those circumstances, any balance is automatically credited. Delivering more can cause a number of issues, for example not having enough for other customers routed that day and also in terms of payment. Our suppliers take a payment for the amount ordered and no card details are kept, which can cause very time consuming issues when chasing an additional, potentially small payment. Good price and delivery on time. Quibble is that money was taken before delivery which is wrong. As a result of this and because my tank took a little less than ordered i am owed a refund which, of course, is taking longer than taking my money in the first place

Hello Peter, thanks for responding. I wonder though how many on line, internet based companies deliver goods without taking money up front? The slight delay in refunding (all payments and refunds are carried out by our suppliers, not us by the way) is due to the time lag between delivery, confirmation f the order in the suppliers system and the requirement to request the refund. I did get the oil O.K. but there were two small points:- 1) I did not get a phone call before delivery which might have been very useful as delivery came on the wednesday, not Thursday. Luckily, I was at home. 2) A bill came from Butler Fuels in addition tothe payment that was on my card statement!!! I did notice that there was a note on it to say to ignore it if payment had already been arranged but it could be an unpleasant shock to some people.

Order went through easily, however as my tank is locked there is no facility to notify this, I needed to notification of delivery so that the tank could be left unlocked. the Notification email indicated a delivery date around the 29 Dec, however it arrived the 21 or 22 without any notification, luckily I was home and available to open the main gates and unlock the tank.

everything is fine...Just one thing that has happened. I was unable to take full selivery of my order..(only 1030 liters out of 2500 due too small leak in fill pipe). I have received a bill for the 1020 liters from Butler fuel but the 2500 liters was paid for in full. Can you check into this for me? Many thanks, Paul Mencher

Delivery was within specified time, however by a different carrier and then received an Invoice from different firm !!! having paid by card prior. This could be very worrying to older customers. Also the quantity was short by 150 litres and although reimbursed the difference its not helpful when we only order once a year and of course wish to take advantage of the low price. Now will have to order a minimum 500litres to get 150.

Hello Mr. Whating, My apologies for this inconvenience, I do understand why this might have been disconcerting. The supplier trades under various brand names across the UK but there is clarification of that on their invoices etc. In terms of the shortfall in delivery, it looks like the driver ran out so again my apologies. This was my first order with you ,and the admin. went well... with a little help. However the delivery date was way out, and I did not receive a call to warn of the date/time as requested. It was good that my reserves were adequate!!

The service was prompt but failure to follow my delivery 'notification ' instructions meant that I was at home purely by chance and able to unlock the tank etc. This driver could have had a wasted journey. Hopefully the next time I place an order the instructions i.e to phone the day before will be adhered to.

We ordered oil because we had run out and as The Oil Company states on their website if you insert 'RUN OUT' on the online application, oil should be delivered within 24-48hrs. We were given a delivery slot which was 5 days time (not 1 to 2 days) so i made a few chasing phone calls although it seemed no one could really help. An oil company did call on day 3 to say they would be delivering the oil later that day and the gentlman who arrived at the house was very friendly. So, it took longer than what it stated on the website but it was definitely service with a smile!
