Was supposed to get a 3200 fire fitted today they came started to fit it and after knocking hole in my chimney breast they decided it was to windy to go on roof and now I'm left with no fire and wind blowing through the house for another 3 days and when I enquire about compensation was told I'm not getting no discount for my inconvenience even though I've to take another day off work

Hello Mr. Brindle, Thank you for leaving your review & please accept my apology that you were not 100% happy with the initial installation. On the particular day of the fit, the installers were experiencing high winds & heavy rain after the tail end of a storm over the previous couple of days. They performed a risk assessment & it was deemed extremely unsafe to go on to your steep roof on that day. However, they did inform you of this & started the prep work within the room & covered the opening after, so that there would be minimal disruption & fuss for yourselves when they were able to return & fit the flue liner in your chimney system. The installers were able to return three days later once the weather had subsided adequately & they were able to complete the installation to your satisfaction. Whilst I accept that you were not happy on the day, I am sure that you will appreciate that the safety of any installer that may be working on a roof must take priority over anything else. We are able to control a great many things but cannot, unfortunately predict or control the weather. As a large retailer, but not multi national link of store, we feel that it is not appropriate to offer compensation for issues such as this, that are out of our control. At the end of the day, this would only result in higher prices for everyone, which I am sure that you will appreciate, nobody likes to see. Having paid nearly £4000 the wind noise down the flue is unacceptable. I contacted The shop someone rang back saying they would look into it that was in June we are now in September after sales 0

Hello Mr Rogan, thank you for your review & bringing the matter to our attention. I have looked back in to the customer service log & note that we have spoken to you on a couple of occasions regarding the noise issue. When a flue liner is fitted in to a chimney system, there are a few occasions during adverse & windy weather conditions, where the wind noise can amplify down the liner. This is a little like blowing over the top of an empty milk bottle. This wont happen a great deal but can happen occasionally. Customer service was excellent by John in the showroom fantastic advice on the Legend fire. We ordered on 13th April and had Delrosso Limestone fireplace with Legend fire fitted on 18th May. The service was first class, fitter Mr Dewhurst and colleague were excellent carried out the installation with great care and precision. We looked at lots of suppliers and are so glad now we chose The fireplace warehouse Our fire looks classy and we are over the moon with it thankyou to all your staff and fitters Regards Pete Corser,, Westhoughton

Overall I got good service. The site is a little unclear regarding the delivery process. I placed the order 11 March. 17 March I emailed requesting a delivery date. No response. 19 March I re-sent request. 19 March I received this response; "...the ceramic set was dispatched directly by Legend fires of Blackburn. I have asked our customer service department to chase this up...". 20 March order delivered. There was no delivery date given and no notice of delivery from Legend Fires of Blackburn. This makes it difficult to arrange receipt of goods. One back panel cracked after 7 days use. After meeting the usual checks I received a replacement in good order. All communication was courteous without fraction. I will use The Fireplace Wharehouse again.

After ordering the fireplace I received no update whatsoever, I didn't even receive a delivery date it just turned up and luckily there was somebody there to receive it.

Hello Mr Shadwick, thank you for your review & comments. Unfortunately once an item leaves us, we are at the mercy of the delivery company. They are normally very good & contact customers to arrange a mutual delivery day. Due to the size & weight of the stone fireplaces, the delivery companies normally dont just turn up as they then have to re-schedule. This costs them time & money. I have spoken to them & they tell me that they did arrange to deliver on a specific day for you. I am not sure just where the communications broke down but can only apologise that the delivery was not up to the high standards that we have come to expect Kind regards The Fireplace Warehouse Online team

I bought one of your Orbe limestone fireplaces from your eBay site. Can I just say that it is far better than I ever expected for the money. Brilliant quality & looks much more expensive than it was. It was delivered in 6 days, quicker than expected & the delivery company was very good, ringing me & booking a delivery day beforehand. It makes a refreshing change to deal with such a friendly company & I will have no hesitation in telling my friends about you - Thank you, David Wilkinson

I received the wrong goods so called to tell you. I was asked to send the goods back so that the correct item could be sent out. I did this which cost me £17. I have receipt for this so expect to be reimbursed. Is there an e mail if can scan this receipt to? And how long until I receive the correct item? I ordered a chrome fireguard.

Thank you for your review. I note that you say that there was a small 'cut?' on the fireplace top. As this is a boxed item ready to go straight out, we dont see the item before dispatch. Excellent service from start to finish,product was easy to order and delivered within the timescale given to us. Unfortunately a part was damaged within the packaging,email back to company resolved this issue and a replacement was with us within three days.first class service. A rarity these days.

Unfortunately although I ordered the fireguard back on the 16th December I have not yet received it. I have had to chase a reply to my emails by telephone trying to find out when I will receive it. Communication has been poor.

Hi there, The manufacturers were unfortunately caught short due to the high demand of these items, prior to Christmas. As you ordered very close to the Christmas break, we were unable to get one out to you in time. Our Operations Director emailed you on the 19th to advise of the delay, as did the customer service team on two separate occasions after this, but received no reply from you. As soon as the new stocks arrived during the first week of January, these were dispatched straight away & we believe that you have now received the item & appear to be happy with your purchase Kind regards The Fireplace Warehouse Online Team

Bought a Burley stove from fireplace warehouse in December. Neil beat all other local prices and the stove was ready for collection on time (although the mature lady in the shop was a bit miserable). On unwrapping I found a couple of problems with wrong size flue provided and cracked glass.these were promptly sorted out by fireplace warehouse. The mark of a good company is when things do go wrong that they have the ability to sort problems out quickly without fuss, this they did admirably.

Bought as a Xmas present for my son, he was very happy with the product. The delivery service was excellent and easy to see where the driver was up and the predicted delivery time was accurate. Although the size of the packaging was a tad excessive ..thought I was getting a washing machine instead og a small log holder. But cannot complain about the product or the delivery service. Excellent thank you

This little converter for the remote controlled unit is very welcome, as it replaces the expensive battery at a much reduced cost. Glad to discover it and recommend. Service was impeccable amid the Christmas postal rush. Thank you.
