I was in awe by the amount of choice at The Fireplace Warehouse (Burnley). I was introduced to Neil to help me with my decision. He was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful, and I opted for Evonic Arada electric fire. I paid the deposit and was given a date three weeks ahead for fitting, which was delayed a further month because of (I was told) delays with the manufacturer. The fire was fitted yesterday (24 Aug 2023) by Daniel and his workmate - who did an excellent job, very little mess, and Daniel hoovered up after them. Then I was asked for £255 for fitting. At no point had I been advised by any staff at the Fireplace Warehouse of this, so I was completely unprepared and embarrassed. It was soon sorted by bank transfer but someone on the staff of the Fireplace Warehouse should have brought this to my attention, preferably at the initial ordering, but it should definitely have been mentioned by whoever in Accounts phoned me to ask for the balance to be paid just prior to fitting. Nowhere on the website, nor on the invoice, does it state that the fitting is a separate payment. I have had a lot, a LOT, of work done on the house over the past 18 months and not all contractors ask for separate payments for subcontractors, so if I'm not told, how am I supposed to know? It's embarrassing. I would have had the cash ready for him. Hence the dropped star.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, no hard sell so made it easier to choose a fire stove without any pressure. Quality product for a decent price and extremely happy with the end result, must give a nod to the fitters, excellent service all round, clean, tidy despite the nature of the job, helpful and thorough.... certainly recommended.

Very pleased with fireplace. Only problem was a small chip on top, front edge of mantlepiece solved by turning it over. Top surface is not as smooth as it should be but looks good and enhances the room.

I ordered an Esse Sunvision multifuel stove a few weeks ago & had it fitted this week. The fitters were extremely good, clean, tidy and did an brilliant job. When we visited the store we were overwhelmed by the choice and got talking to the Store Manager, Nigel, I think his name was(?) I wear a hearing aid, so maybe mistaken & I noticed that he did too, which I found unusual for a relatively young man He showed us many stoves and lit 4 different ones to show how easy they are to light & to control. I thought that I had done my homework on the internet but found to my surprise that you shouldnt always believe what you read & he corrected me but in a very nice way, explaining to both me & my wife in plain English that we could both understand. We didnt realise that you can control them & turn them up & down like a gas fire. The manager arranged for a surveyor to call & he was spot on with what he told us in the shop. The surveyor, a big chap called Adrian was very nice & pleasant and again like Nigel, explained things simply. My wife would be the first to admit that I can be a bit (ok, a lot) stubborn and dont tend to listen but all in all, they really looked after us. I never leave 5 star reviews as I believe that everything can be improved on, but I'll give them their due, they were very close & closer to being perfect than any company that I have dealt with in the last 20 years!

We are extremely satisfied with our fire which was fitted last April, we had the Madison Delux Fireplace and Logic HE Balanced Flue Fire, which looks great, the only downside & the reason for not giving 5* is the after service, I rang several times to ask why the glass was getting marked on the inside and also why we had a scorch mark on the stone surround by the on/off lever, after being passed from piller to post, someone managed to give me the fitters phone number who explained how to get inside the facia to clean the glass but couldn’t explain the scorch mark, I again mentioned it to the Fireplace Warehouse Burnley for a reply, STILL WAITING

Had a gas stove installed in June which didn't have a living flame, it was just a blue flame After many phone calls ( some calls never returned) and a couple of visits from gas fitters, Adam from the technical department ( who was not aware of our problem till september) came with a gazco technician and changed the stove which had the right result. The four stars is for Adam who resolved the problem within two weeks and was a very good communicater. As for the rest of the staff they need to communicate more between themselves, sometimes getting to talk to them was like pulling teeth.

Have used your warehouse before and service has always been good. A mix up by the supplier ie sent the wrong set has yet to be corrected but is the process at this moment.

Predrilled hole on the down right hand side was a few mm out so I had to re drill. No problem,good quality

Overall I got good service. The site is a little unclear regarding the delivery process. I placed the order 11 March. 17 March I emailed requesting a delivery date. No response. 19 March I re-sent request. 19 March I received this response; "...the ceramic set was dispatched directly by Legend fires of Blackburn. I have asked our customer service department to chase this up...". 20 March order delivered. There was no delivery date given and no notice of delivery from Legend Fires of Blackburn. This makes it difficult to arrange receipt of goods. One back panel cracked after 7 days use. After meeting the usual checks I received a replacement in good order. All communication was courteous without fraction. I will use The Fireplace Wharehouse again.

I received the wrong goods so called to tell you. I was asked to send the goods back so that the correct item could be sent out. I did this which cost me £17. I have receipt for this so expect to be reimbursed. Is there an e mail if can scan this receipt to? And how long until I receive the correct item? I ordered a chrome fireguard.

Bought a Burley stove from fireplace warehouse in December. Neil beat all other local prices and the stove was ready for collection on time (although the mature lady in the shop was a bit miserable). On unwrapping I found a couple of problems with wrong size flue provided and cracked glass.these were promptly sorted out by fireplace warehouse. The mark of a good company is when things do go wrong that they have the ability to sort problems out quickly without fuss, this they did admirably.

On searching the exact item I bought after receiving the manufacturers details at the time of delivery - I found the same bucket/shovel significantly cheaper elsewhere. However, I cannot fault ease of ordering, excellent communications and speed of delivery. Overall satisfied.

The first delivery was prompt, but the fire surround was badly damaged. I contacted the company and a replacement was dispatched within a week. Beautiful fire surround now in place.

Very pleased with the quality, value and speedy delivery of the fire surround. Only slight hiccup was with order confirmation as ordered online but soon sorted.

please with the fire place the only thing that let it down was deliverey .One person he couldnt lift it on his own , I had to ask a man walking by if he could help which he did as far as the pavement I am a 65 year women had to get it in to the house not good
