We visited the Stockport showroom at the beginning of the year to look for a specific fireplace. The staff member that dealt with us was very helpful and we couldn't fault that side. They even price matched the fireplace against another shop and sourced a different fire for us. Delivery was as arranged but the limestone had several marks on it which made it looked patchy. The delivery guy said this was due to the stone still being wet and would dry out. We had the fireplace laid out on the dining room floor for safety, but when we moved the header, it bumped up against the skirting and snapped in half. Would have hoped it would be more sterdy and take more than a bump. It's cost us £200 to get a replacement sent over. Now the bit that annoys me, we specifically asked if the fireplace could be installed easily by ourselves to which we were told yes. The fireplace arrived with no instructions, fixings or guides. There is a guide on the company website which shows some info, but also states to refer to the fixings help sheet, which wasn't included. I have spoken to them with regards to this but was told there wasn't any help sheet. They said if we got a fitter, they would know where to put the brackets. Why tell us we can fit it ourselves but not provide the guidelines where is safe to attach the fittings. Unfortunately the after sales has let down the side on his occasion.

I emailed your company on 21/12/2016 re a busted front coal, yet to receive a reply!!! I telephone BURNLEY ? branch again about the problem, promised a replacement in the new year because of holidays etc; still waiting.

Hi Arnold, thank you for your review. It was an unfortunate time, the 21st December, when you reported that the coal strip had been received broken. Our stores & the distributor had closed for the Christmas break. having had fireplace and fire fitted, which was very good service by the two guys who did the job. unfortunately after a couple of evenings with the lights on of the fireplace, they stopped working. when i rang to inform stockport branch of this , they said they would ring me back with an appointment for these to be repaired by electrician . No phone call recieved so ended up replacing transformer myself and new bulbs. five days of waiting , very poor after sales service.

ORDERED A DIABLO BERING FIREPLACE AND FIRE ON 3.6.2016, DELIVERY WAS MEANT TO BE AROUND 27TH JULY, I GOT A PHONE CALL A FEW DAYS BEFORE SAYING THE DELIVERY WOULD NOW BE AROUND 20.8.2016, I HAVE NOW RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL SAYING IT WILL NOW BE 21.9.2016. I FEEL REALLY ANGRY BECAUSE I HAVE NO HEATING AND MY CARPET CANNOT BE LAID OR MY NEW SUITE CANNOT BE DELIVERED. I ONLY HOPE THIS WILL BE THE LAST CHANGE OR I WILL BE TAKING LEGAL ADVICE

Visited the Burnley shop with my husband & two young sons a couple of weeks ago. They have the best selection that I have ever seen but it was spoilt by two of the sales staff smoking electronic cigarettes on the shop floor. Not a good look & not a good example to be showing in front of four year old children

Purchased and paid for a Vittoria electric fire suite on 22d March and am still waiting for it to be delivered!!!!! I rang to enquire where my order was and was told it had been dispatched but no dispatch no !! so fingers crossed I receive it soon.

Still waiting to hear anything about my order which hasn't arrived after three weeks. May well be the fault of the manufacturer who is being chased up but staff today. The money has been taken via PayPal and no contact from anyone till I phoned this morning. To add to the confusion, the phone number quoted on the order confirmation is not recognised. Needs to be sorted.

Hi there, your pebble set was dispatched by the manufacturer within 3 working days of your order being placed. I have checked & a confirmation email was sent to the email address supplied, when the order was placed. We were not aware that you had not received your pebble set until you contacted us today, but now that we are aware of it, we have contacted the manufacturer to resolve the issue. Unfortunately although I ordered the fireguard back on the 16th December I have not yet received it. I have had to chase a reply to my emails by telephone trying to find out when I will receive it. Communication has been poor.

Hi there, The manufacturers were unfortunately caught short due to the high demand of these items, prior to Christmas. As you ordered very close to the Christmas break, we were unable to get one out to you in time. Our Operations Director emailed you on the 19th to advise of the delay, as did the customer service team on two separate occasions after this, but received no reply from you. took an eternity too get the ordered items !!! not happy with the time from iniital placing,and paying for the items to receiving, maybe phone calls,and e mails later. eventually arrived!!

Hi there, I have looked at the log & the pebble set was dispatched by the manufacturer within 2 working days & was delivered to you within 8 working days from placing your order. Once an item is dispatched by a manufacturer & is with the courier we have little control. However, once you did contact us for an update, we were able to chase the item to ensure that it was delivered quickly. On looking into your sale we note that you have not ordered a fireplace from us only a fire and this was delivered speedily and signed for.
