As an independent entity, we want to clarify that we have no affiliations with the previously known Truly Travel Ltd or Teletext Ltd, both of which entered liquidation in 2021 and 2023, respectively. Following their liquidation, they were acquired by Teletext Travel Ltd.

We are 11 girls due to fly to Ibiza on the 20/5/20 I contacted the hotel a few weeks ago and was told they had no plans to open in May/June: They also told me Truly Travel do not pay them till the end of the season. teletext still insisted our holiday was not cancelled. Then Ryan air cancelled our flights. I wrote to teletext holidays straight away to request a refund! No reply. Yesterday they email saying as your holiday is cancelled we will issue a voucher!! We can’t claim our money back till after 31st August!! I understand that they need to get the Money back from Ryan Air but as they haven’t paid our hotel yet they should at least refund that in the legal time frame. They don’t reply to call/ emails!! Terrible customer service and they need to remember that people will remember how they have treated customers. Amongst our group are NHS staff and Police officers. We all worked hard to pay for our holiday which was paid up in advance of the pandemic!! Please give us our £6000 back!

Will never use teletext again.. Won’t give me a refund, non existent customer service. Can’t be trusted!!! Thieves!!!

Trip booked for April, asked for a refund and offered refund credit note! Having to wait till 31st July to contact them and ask again for my refund.

My holiday was cancelled, spoke to Jet2 who said flights have been refunded...this was my money which I paid to teletext holidays to pay flights, I'm now told I have to wait until 31st July before I can claim for refund. I do not want a voucher for another holiday as there will be no holidays for the foreseeable future....this company are a joke do not use them...

Avoid. Teletext Holidays is another example of one of a "stack them high, sell them cheap" - a company that is quite happy to take your money and when everything goes according to plan they get positive reviews. However, the real judge of a company is when something goes wrong. No one could have predicted COVID-19 (outside of a few scientists in China perhaps). However, once destination countries close their borders and flight operators ground their planes, it's quite easy to predict a holiday isn't going ahead. In Teletext's own T&Cs, there is a clause that reads: '...you have the right to cancel your confirmed Multi-Contract Package before departure without paying a cancellation charge in the event of “unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances”' My wife and I communicated over and over with the company that our trip could not go ahead. Yet still the company insisted it was "unaffected", and that they were only dealing with cases on a 14-day rolling basis. They took our final balance payment of £950 (against our will) and refused to refund it. It was only after we contacted their compliance department with proof we'd asked to cancel it that we were refunded out £950. However, the company still has £260 for flights, that they refuse to refund. They state that they are following TTA guidance in issuing refund credit notes (they're not). Refund credit notes are not intended to be replacements for cash refunds, only an alternative if customers wish to take them. Their LiveChat is operated out of India. The quality of English, the attitude, and the disinterest in doing anything but protecting Teletext (or Truly Travel)'s bank account is clear for all to see. When the LiveChat agents run out of things to say back, they just go silent. Their customer support emails repeat the same company line as LiveChat. If the phone lines were open, you would be speaking to some very rude, abrupt Indian call handlers. It is telling customers it cannot refund flights because they have not been refunded by suppliers. This is an abhorrent company. Frankly, they do not deserve to be in business. Please please please do yourselves a favour - do not book with this company, even if they are the cheapest. If everything goes right, you might be fine. But the second anything goes wrong, you are stuffed. Avoid like you would avoid COVID-19 itself.

Absolutely horrendous company, myself and friends are meant to be traveling in less than a week and haven't heard anything from Teletext about our holiday all they want is to keep taking payments when we aren't allowed to leave/ enter the country due to COVID19. We have been on live chats and emails every day and keep getting fobbed off! On ringing the emergency line we are hung up on saying keep the line free for travellers travelling soon, then hung up on. The only information we have received is from Jet 2 informing us that our flights are cancelled. All we want is to speak to a human to sort this out and receive our money back.. ref number:TT777980 I would like a phone call ASAP as the lead passenger.

Disgusting company constantly told to be patient! Paid in full for our flights and hotel all inclusive on 23/02/20 flight out 22nd April for 10 nights but because of coronavirus airline/teletext cancelled all, have emailed teletext about 20 times and was told by them they couldn’t refund my credit card as they were themselves waiting for airline and hotel to refund themselves! Although they refused to answer my question as to whether they had actually even paid the airline ( although I think they probably did ) but I doubt whether they actually paid the company that teletext got to book the hotel with ( hotel beds.com) they just offer me a credit note to book another holiday at a later date, which I have told them at least 12 times I am not interested in accepting anything other than a full refund to my credit card, they just ignore it, even though I have told them this holiday was to be my final one as I am 74 years old in 6 weeks time and the final holiday for my wife also. Most people are experiencing financial problems with the deathly virus more so with us as pensioners yet teletext have had our money for many months and still are ignoring our plea for a refund, they are the worst company I have ever dealt with they should never have had Atol attached to their company, I have informed them I will take this appalling behaviour to as many routes I can, I tend to think they may well be hoping that some of its customers die so as to not ever refund. I find it difficult to believe also that all the credit card companies are actually allowing teletext to continue to use their payment system. Colin.

I would like to put 0 star. O my god, I stupidly booked a holiday for the end of the year with Teletext and all seemed ok until Gary Parker called me back asking for another £550.00 as their card wasn’t working and they couldn’t book our flights. Straight away I smelt a rat and said no. Pls refund my £550.00. They said they would and I would get in 7 days. Nearly 1 month down the line, no refund. Live chat is useless and the only way I get any results is by Tweeter. I tweet everyday and am told I will get a call. To be fair I have had a call from Brent in India telling me I have been refunded, surprise surprise no money. Last call was Friday when I demanded a cheque of which he replied ‘ I will ask head office and call you back in 1 hour’. Still waiting. Have tweeted everyday this week and been promised a call back NOTHING. I have just texted Brent and tweeted telling them that unless I get a call today I am reporting them to Watchdog, who I know will be very interested. I need and want my money back as I’m not working due to Covid 19

Terrible Company! Had booked to go turkey with them all inclusive then Covid 19 issue. And then true colours came out!!! Discusting customer service. Lies!!! And yet still not heard anything regarding refund from teletext....!!??

Terrible company all about the commission! They outsource cheap labour to India whose English is probably as bad as their native language!! Warning, they will take payments out of your bank account when they know u holiday is cancelled so give u credit note and then rip u off on your next holiday !!!avoid

Bunch of scammers based in india. Using a secretarial services accomadation address in the uk. Previously media travel.then truly travel. Now truly travel trading as teletext holidays. Inflated prices. Liars about upgrades. Grabbing deposits and definately no refunds. Try and find anyone who has ever received a refund. Five star ratings on thete site lol look at trust pilot. 5 stars for being the worst online company. Ive just taken these rogues to court and they have totally ignored the deadlines so our legal system is just a joke to them. This has now gone back to court to demand the money in full. Then its the bailiffs. ..

I am due to fly to depart on monday and i obviously know that I won't be going but no contact has been made. I have had several live chats with no information just telling me to be patient? How patient do I need to be all I want is to know what the procedure is

what went wrong ? make the ? easy what went right NOTHING. I know most reviews are regarding refunds and I have all the same issues. I have decided to make my review the tricks the reps do when you book your holiday. 1. when I phone for there advertised holiday it is never available at the advertised price. 2. also the minimum deposit is never available. it is always half your flights. 3. at time of booking I asked what happens if I want to cancel. I asked cus I am over fifty registered disabled and traveling with three other people in there fifties. the rep said the worse case I would loose my flights fee. £560 out of £2695. I decided I could live with that. so booked in October paying £280 deposit. followed by 7 monthly instalments of £340 each. in march when I realised the virus situation I decided it would be better to cancel and just loose my flight fees. I sent them a email asking them to confirm there cancelation fees. I received a email saying there cancelation fees are your deposit which consists of everything you have paid so far £1980. also if I did not pay the final 2 instalments they would cancel my holiday and I would loose everything. what sort of company charges 100% cancelation fees people some times have to cancel holidays. I consider this a act of fraud by there rep. I sent them a email stating this. yes you guessed it no reply. 4. this my fault for not checking but still not nice tactics used by the rep when I booked. when first contacting the company about there unavailable advertised. 10 days all inclusive holiday. the rep kept quoting me much higher prices for same holiday. so I said no thankyou. at this point he said just let me check 1 more time. magically he then got me a price I could live with still more costly than there advertised holiday. so I booked. this where I except I should of checked. the rep just knocked a day off the holiday and made it a 9 day holiday. this is what this company is like. all in the rep training. so please watch out. 5. when I came to pay my first instalment of £340 there is a £4.95 admin fee for each payment. never mentioned at time of booking. another £35 on total price. 6. made my last 2 payments (had no choice cus would loose everything if I did not pay) now just like everyone else no joy in even talking to someone regarding refund. my main point to this review is to show how bad they train there reps to deal with customers in normal times. avoid avoid avoid . even when the virus is over. con artists. I am trying my bank to refund me for fraud based on the false information about the cancellation fees. hope this helps future customers make a wise choice. only gave 1 star cus would not allow no stars

Holiday cancelled due to covid 19. Refusing to give money back. Don't respond to emails or live chat. Breaking their own t&c. Which states refund in 14 days. They are theives. Roll on when they go to court.

TT761624 - Have been trying to make before I was he to fly out on 27th March, as no contact made from organisation. I wrote 3 emails requesting money back and clearly stating no vouchers just my money back. All email responses came back stating only vouchers. Eventually got through and was lied to on the phone stating management will contact me back. Weeks have gone past and I’m still waiting for this to happen. I have had legal advice from CAB and other organisations, they all have said teletext have broken the law as I should of got money back within 14 days. I have kept all emails and now looking to sue teletext as I have all evidence proving no contact from teletext and that I have sent emails requesting money back. This all could of been avoided if they provided communication and paid back my money within the 14 day, guideline the law stated. I will not use them again due to lack of communication regarding the situation. I don’t trust this organisation now.
