Don't book with Teletext till refunds are paid back from 2020. Holiday booked for May 2020. Cancelled by Teletext and numerous emails promising refund which still waiting for with still false promises of refund in 7 days. Not holding my breathe and going through the courts.

I would not recommend this company at all. They are responsive when you are booking a holiday and quick to take your money, but quite the opposite when you need to cancel and request a refund. We booked a holiday for September and had to cancel because I had an accident and couldn't travel and since the end of August, we have been requesting a cancellation invoice so we could get a refund via our insurers. Every time we telephone, we have to explain our situation again and are told that a message has been sent through to the cancellation team and then we hear nothing at all. Although the operators we speak to are very polite, they have no authority to do anything and are there just to appease customers, albeit temporarily. Unfortunately, we feel that we are not being listened to and have been forgotten and are £2,700 worse off. I am going to submit a formal complaint but I don't have much confidence given the experience we have had so far.

DO NOT BOOK WITH TELETEXT. I booked our holiday 4 couples at approx £8,000 to leave in May 2020. Since then have contacted Teletext several times (they either do not answer the call or cut you off) & sent several emails which they do not answer, EasyJet had refunded full flight costs to them inJune . WILL NEVER YSE THIS COMPANY & WILL ADVISE STRONGLY TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM. All you will get is automated response below

Please do not book with this company, read the comments below these people are telling the truth, the company does nothing for you, I will be taking my claim further, please if you want a nice relaxing holiday or a refund don't book with teletext

We had our holiday cancelled in July 2020 by Teletext Holidays due to the covid pandemic. However, the process of trying to get a refund has been an absolute nightmare. Teletext holidays have lied to us consistently throughout the entire process saying that we were not eligible to apply for a refund until months afterwards. Apart from being a lie it is not the law. Have since found out that they are legally bound to refund our money 14 days after they cancel. Every email I sent was ignored and when I was finally able to talk to one of their representatives, they said they would only rebook a new holiday and they would not refund our money. When I said I would pursue them through the courts they wished me luck and terminated the call. They state on their website and correspondences that they are ATOL protected but since then have found out (from ATOL themselves) that ATOL protection only comes into effect if the company stops trading and goes belly-up. If the company is still trading the ATOL protection is useless. Absolute crooks and liars ... don't ever book a holiday with this cowboy outfit!

Teletext are the worst travel company I have ever dealt with. Even though we specifically asked teletext if children were allowed in the hotel they booked for us, Luckily before we left I called the hotel direct and they advised kids were not allowed. Teletext didn’t even know this but refused to refund the full holiday price when I told them and blamed us for booking it with them. As we were due to fly the next day and with no hotel to stay in (although we paid for this in full) after holding for 6 hours on the phone to the call centre in India and being continuously cut off, under duress we agreed to accept the refund for the hotel which we were told would take a week. They would not refund the flights. Nearly 3 weeks later we still have no refund and called the call centre again today to speak with a lady who kept laughing when she thought I was on hold. I sent a complaint a week ago but still no acknowledgment even though they say they will within 2 days. Avoid this company they are the worst ever and the call centre just doesn’t care at all.

Where is my refund teletext I was going to Turkey jubmbe 2nd you cancelled it easyjet has refunded our flights to you and you are holding on to it im wondering if you are ever going to refund us ,I will be taking you to a small claims court if I don't get no joy from you its beginning to wear thin now all you do us flob us off another 10_14 days and we are sick of it now its theft pay us what you owe us please.

Cannot give 0 stars , and of course your sorry ...really , I have been waiting 7 months for my refund and am getting no where , Teletext holidays needs to be shut down , and if that flaming Richard replies by saying he's sorry and that they are looking into it , its complete rubbish , they hang up when your on the phone or make you wait to speak to another useless operator and now ignore emails , nothing but a bunch of criminals masquerading as a family holiday company , anyone reading this needs to be aware of how much they actually disrespect any of their customers

Terrible company lie to all the time won’t give me a refund for my holiday that was cancelled in May even tho I have asked lots of times for a refund ignore emails I sent loads and lie on the phone to me telling me my money will be in the bank in 7-10 days and still no money back just give me my hard earned money back will you ?? 😡😡

Worst company I've heard of. I am outraged by the way customers are treated. Our vacation was canceled and this company left us without any information or assistance. They have not responded to emails for 3 months. They robbed us. I got a refund for my flights on a voucher with my name on it and they charged back my flights without even informing me of it. Give back my money!!!

Absolutely shocking company, breaking the law and acting illegally refusing to give customers refunds from holiday’s cancelled due to the pandemic. Refunds by law should be issued within 14 days for package holiday cancellations. The government or watchdog need to get involved and close this company. Booking reference TT801042.

Avoid at all costs. They took so long to get a refund which I still haven't got since June, Such poor customer service. Now they keep ringing saying I will get a special deal only for me. I ended up going up to my card company to dispute who have taken it forward. They just keep your money and try and sign you up with another money can't buy holiday special deal the arse (sorry but they are a bunch of cowbows) they had the money back from easy jet and sent no confirmation about that or when I could see my money back for that. I have ended up making a complaint to the competition marketing authority. You look at their website and they are all so positive and 5 star reviews I think they must be fake reviews. It is a shame you can't opt for half a star or no star. What I find strange is it comes up as Justin Travel and not teletext holidays. I left a review once and said give your reference number to customer service but they are so useless. I eventually spoke to a manager who said people get paid per day in the Indian call centre when I told him about my frustration after 8 weeks of waiting to speak to a manager. I have a heart problem and this has made my heart condition worse with all the stress. PLEASE AVOID FOR YOUR OWN PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH.

Teletext are dreadful, they have handled the whole Covid-19 situation so badly, all you get is lies, being pushed from pillar to post, and just when you think you’re getting somewhere, you’re back to square one! I have been a customer for decades, but I will never book a holiday through this company again! They give you the impression that they are crooks, doing everything they can to avoid refunding your money, giving you every excuse under the sun! I get problems can happen, but it’s how you put it right that counts, and 7 months on, they still haven’t!!!

DO NOT USE TEKETEXT HOLIDAYS!! I am totally disgusted by this company. They are liars and fraudsters! My holiday was cancelled in March due to COVID and I am still chasing refund! There’s is no Live Chat- total SCAM. They keep telling me to wait 3 weeks, it’s been 8 months! They told me I should take up my flight refunds with Ryanair, yet Ryanair have confirmed my money is sitting with Teletext holidays. I am still waiting for flights and hotel to be refunded. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! WE NEED TO TAKE THEM DOWN!! Liars. Literally illegally holding on to peoples money to fund their cash flow. UNACCEPTABLE and DISGUSTING TT768334

I have booked a holiday in the beginning of July 2020, the holiday was cancelled due to COVID and following countless phone calls, emails, promised refund to my account, it is now November and Teletext has STILL NOT GIVEN ME MY MONEY BACK. This is fraud. And someone from higher management should take control and help people like me which have to deal with problems that customers should not have to go through! I have been ignored for my refund of £3500. This is completely unacceptable. DO NOT BOOK WITH TELETEXT!!!! THERE IS NO LIVE CHAT. IT IS A SCAM.

If I could rate 0 I would. Disgusting. Refusing to give us back our deposit after Ryan air cancelled our flights in may. I’m going to have to do a charge back on the credit card. Horrendous company to book with. Do not use

Discusting AVOID AT ALL COST SO RUDE, THEY HAVE STOLE OUR MONEY, they Lie they cut you off, we are still not getting our refund i have rang 20 times and each time they say they will credit us in 7-10 days. NO MANAGERS CANT SEND EMAILS AND CANT TRANSFER CALLS...THEY ARE RACIST

I advise anyone against using this company. They clearly do not value their customers! Such a poorly managed company and customer their service is a disgrace. I had a holiday booked with teletext holidays for a trip to Spain on the 14th of June which of course was cancelled due to Covid 19. I was initially under the impression that as a customer that has brought something that had not been received that surely I would be refunded promptly, besides consumer rights and all that.. Well consumer rights doesn't seem to apply to teletext holidays for some unknown reason? Regardless of that I was very understanding given the circumstances and feel I have been very patient considering its almost 5 months following the date I was supposed to travel and have still not received a refund.. This entire process has been nothing but stress especially upto recent as it just seems as though they have no intentions to give me MY money back. From the start to now I have received no guidance or advice that has been of any benefit, teletext has completely dismissed my questions, I have received minimal correspondence, I have been given false information and have been lied to on multiple occasions and they have even taken money from my account following me telling them via live chat and email not to as the airlineprovider had already confirmed that the flights were cancelled, so there was absolutely no reason for any further payments to be taken from my account. It is over a month since receiving any correspondence from teletext holidays, which their last email was advising me to contact them again in 4 weeks time so they could further assist me.. I have done exactly that yet still no correspondence? Teletext always seem to pass the book that they are waiting for their suppliers? Well I and many other customers did not book through your suppliers, we booked directly through teletext holidays so it is your responsibility to resolves these issues not your suppliers. Teletext do not want to refund people what is rightfully theirs because of the financial impact it would have on their company hence the ridiculous delays. It does not matter to them that in such difficult times many people have found themselves in financial crisis and actually need this money, so long as their company isn't affected right? Well it is NOT the customers responsibility to finance teletext holidays to ensure that they aren't financially affected! I am most disappointed in teletext holidays as I truly thought it to be a trusted holiday provider with such long standing, I can now see how wrong I actually was. I will persevere until I get MY money finally returned to my account even if that means that I have to take the legal route to do so! I advise everyone to keep an evidence log of all correspondence as I have just incase the legal response is your last option. There is much more I could add but I think this should give others sufficient awareness not to gamble their hard earned money with such a poorly managed company.

I booked a flight and hotel for 16 people to Kos for my wedding. We were due to get married in June but got postponed to September because of covid. Six weeks prior to us traveling I found out that the hotel was not open. I tried to contact teletext ie emails, phone calls but to no avail. No response from them. In desperation I had no option but to find a hotel that could accommodate our party and pay yet again. On the way to the airport I got a phone call from teletext to say the hotel was not open and they had found us another hotel. I told the lady on the phone due to being unable to contact them I had no choice than to find an hotel for ourselves. She was very understanding as I explained that we were on the train going to the airport. And had not heard from teletext re Hotel closure. Now we are trying to get our money back for hotel. They said we are not entitled to a refund because they found an alternate hotel.. They owe us an apology for all the stress and uncertainty, for what should have been a memorable occasion. Plus a refund for the hotel.
