“I found the grammar section a bit of a headache as I was taught very little formal English grammar at school. (I learnt more grammar in French class than English!) However, after that section it was pretty easy. It could be presented in a much more engaging way (some sections contain endless writing) but it got me to where I wanted to go (online teaching), it's accredited in the UK (unlike some other courses) and was inexpensive.”

“This is a simple 120-hour TEFL course which I completed quickly. The readings are mostly interesting and I appreciated the video lessons where I was able to watch some of the teaching in action. I have been teaching for a fair few years and much of the course is fairly common sense stuff. That being said, it's always good to top-up your knowledge and there are some interesting hints and tips here which I found useful. I needed a TEFL certificate fast for a job I was about to embark on and this course provided me with just that.”

“I really did not know what I did not know before I took this class. I have taught before and understood the importance of organization, to be alert to the different backgrounds of students and different styles of learning, but had not thought concretely what it would be like teaching ESL. The materials were logical and practical, setting forth effective strategies to keep students motivated and engaged and setting forth specific activities to develop proficiency in grammar. The materials were comprehensive, including alternative methods of teaching and videos of real classroom experiences.
I appreciated the straightforwardness of the course. The sections were just the right length and the quizzes following each section seemed a fair gauge of comprehension.
