“Good qualification to have, although the courses they offer aren't entirely competitive or a great use of time unless a more voluntary position is looked for. More videos would have been appreciated, as walls of text were sometimes demotivating to read for hours on end.”
“The course was excellent value for money. I found it straightforward to follow the work through the units. It was useful to be able to work through at my own pace. I found the function to revisit previously learnt material for reference a useful addition and the assessment quizzes were logically structured.
I would however comment that the lesson planning sections / units could be slightly misleading. In a realistic classroom setting (of which I have 20+ years of experience) it is extremely difficult to assign "timings" to a section of learning to complete. It is fine to have an activity that on a plan states 10 mins, 5 mins, 3, mins. Rarely, if ever, do activities take the prescribed plan time and do not account for the nature and dynamic of a class based lesson in reality, or account for embedding learning.
On the whole though, this was a worthwhile course and a qualification which i am sure I will utilise in the future.”
