“I like the method, the structure and the content of the course. The videos showing real classes were very helpful. I think the method is however pushed a bit too religiously in the tutors’ feedback and felt a bit like a straight jacket. Although I believe having a method and a structure is extremely important, there is a risk of suffocating the creativity and dynamics of the teaching so I suggest to aim for more balance.”

“I found the TEFL 120 hour course useful and informative. I especially found the classroom demonstrations helpful. I would have liked a bit more in-depth grammar and think a more comprehensive online teaching course should be included in the 120-hour course, but otherwise, everything was great. The live webinars are also really helpful and motivating. Thank you.”

“My whole experience with TEFL.org was positive, from chatting to Customer Service before starting the course, through to communication with the online tutor and the classroom teacher. I enjoyed the quizzes and assignments and I particularly liked the 2-day in-class course. This was my first ever online course and I found it to be full of activities and there was plenty of opportunity to interact with the tutor.”

“I really enjoyed the process. The lessons are carefully created and my tutor Alex was really helpful. I could reach out to him for help at any time. His feedbacks and examples were also useful. I just received my printed certificate, thank you Alex and thank you tefl.org.”

“Hi Alan, First, I'd like to congratulate you and The TEFL Org team for such an excellent and thorough course. I've learnt so much. Where do I start? I've learnt more about language than I had ever considered and am now even more interested. I've seen how to create structure with different ideas and topics and how to put together different elements and tasks to create a cohesive lesson. I've also learnt where to find a huge number of resources – all new to me. I've enjoyed seeing the videos and presenters; it makes the course feel more personal. I'm impressed with the level of feedback given and speed of responses from tutors: my assignments were marked extremely promptly and always with good feedback; any queries I've had have been answered very quickly. The website and tools all worked very well. I found the assignments challenging; I could have reached out more than I did - probably should have. A down side of working alone is I've no idea how other students approached their assignments. So I miss being able to see that comparison. But on the other hand, being able to work remotely and part-time made it possible for me to do the course and the tutors and team are very accessible. Without question, the number and range of assignments were/are valuable and I learnt a lot doing them. I'm looking forward to staying engaged with TEFL Org resources. Thank you very much for all your hard work.”

“I enjoyed this course; I found it clear, easy to follow and I've learned a lot. But I am giving it four out of five because of the -in my opinion- inconsistency between the lessons and the assignments. For example the first assignment which asks us to write lesson plan for a group of beginners while ALL the videos we've seen feature a group of intermediate students and the last assignment which asks us to write a lesson plan of 600(!) words for a telephone lesson with very little to go on; just one video (unit 3 module 2) explains all the stages of a telephone lesson.”

“The course was great! It definitely gave me the fundamentals necessary for teaching English as a foreign language. Everything was clear and well organised. “I really enjoyed the course. I thought it was well planned and laid out, easy for me to follow. I was able to do it at my own pace and on my own schedule. Help was only an email away and there was always a tutor available to give detailed feedback about assignments and tests. This platform is very professional and friendly and the quality of education is top-tier. I truly recommend TEFL.org for gaining astounding knowledge, both practical and theory in teaching English as a second language.”

“I enjoyed being able to go through the course at my own pace. The only problem I had was with the 'Teach Large Classes' course there were no examples to base my answer on. I even looked it up online and found people had similar problems 2-3 years ago. If there was a some more examples or even a video of someone teaching a large class i think it would be really beneficial.”
