“There are many aspects of the TEFL.org program including quality/expertise of instructors, varied formats within the courses and high standards for the coursework/certification. One standout aspect was that their approach was cohesive, on many levels, incuding following essentially one class throughout the classroom observation videos.”

“Overall, it was a good and enjoyable course and I learnt a lot. However as mine was 100% online, I found that some of the confusion I had was due to the course being100% online and wouldn't have happened in an classroom with direct interaction with a teacher.The telephone teaching course for example was especially confusing to me because 'telephone' and 'online' were used interchangeably and I didn't know at the time if some of the rules referred to '100% telephone lessons' or 'face to face voIP lessons'. All of these are minor things because the course was mainly brilliant, my tutor was helpful in answering my questions and patient with me. The classroom video examples were so much fun to watch and the natural 'hosts' such as Kirsty and Ines did a wonderful job in front of the camera!”

“Like so much online learning, a huge focus on knowledge, but little on skills, attitudes or behaviours (in terms of being practically able to demonstrate them). As I say, this is a criticism of so much online learning, rather than this course. In order to give the opportunity to demonstrate skills, there would need to be synchronous face-to-face (virtual) contact with learners and a qualified tutor, which would be hellish to administer and prohibitively expensive for the learner. As offered, the course offers quite astoundingly good VFM, as it's simply packed with information. I made copious notes as I went along, which was time consuming but worth it. I think I got what I put in - which is the case with all learning. Many thanks to Asif, who provided excellent and timely feedback.”

“TEFL has helped me get updated with the latest trends in teaching English. The sequencing of the lessons are well paced and prepared. Things to improve on: - Not all videos are audible enough to be understnd students' feeback and reactions. Some videos are too long. It'll be good to break it up to at least 10-15 mins. - Some quiz questions are tricky or misleading and tend to confuse or make us think twice. -It made go back to the previous videos which I already watched otherwise my course would be incomplete. The system should be able to pick up the activity of the student. It was a great journey doing the TEFL course with you! Thank you! -”

“I took the 120-hour TEFL course. The course was easy to follow and complete, contents were useful and my tutor's feedback was helpful. There were little mistakes in the transcripts, but everything else was very accurate and user-friendly. I appreciated the possibility to download the course at the end of each module. The certificate was issued immediately after completion. I am very satisfied, I was able to take a certification in a short time with little money.”

“I learned a lot and had plenty of help from the tutors. The tutors were super friendly, very understanding and amazingly helpful. My only critique is the questions for written/text assignments were a bit vague in what they wanted us to do. Some of the questions for written/text assignments wanted a very specific answer.”

“I learned a lot in a very short amount of time. I can see major improvement in my knowledge of teaching since before I took the course, and I feel like I am at least moderately prepared for any teaching situation from now on. “As someone without any experience teaching, I think that what the course has to offer is a good start. The material isn't demanding but does require focus and attention, making it a good option for people who have time constraints. My tutor gave meaningful feedback and did his best to ensure that I understood the content within each module. Quizzes are pretty easy, but feel too lenient. Assignments, on the other hand, test one's understanding of the material and are easily the most difficult part of the entire program. I enjoyed the challenge though, as they forced me to find creative solutions while adhering to the practices that are taught throughout each module. Overall, I think that The TEFL.org is a good place to start one's TEFL journey if they have no experience and want to gain an understanding of how theory is incorporated.”
