“It was easy to follow. The tutor gave straight forward suggestions and guidance when grading the assignments. I especially enjoyed the virtual classes. It gave me the opportunity to make and practice lessons in a relaxed and low pressure setting.”

“The TEFL.org 120+ hour course is a great way to establish understanding and methodology in teaching. I was impressed with how comprehensive the methodology course was in particular. Furthermore I was very impressed by the level of attention and feedback I recieved from my tutor on the course.”

“The course was excellent and I am thoroughly impressed. I recieved great support from my tutor, Thomas, who gave me clear and encouraging feedback on each assignment. The video and written resources were excellent. My only complaints are - the sections with multiple example lessons in a row can be a little tedious (these are long videos and back to back can be a little unengaging), and that some of the video resources had long pauses in speech that had snuck through the editing process (though in a 120 hour course this is to be expected). These are minor gripes in what was otherwise an excellent course that I have already recommended to friends.”

“A decent overview of the necessary information, but constant "video(s) then quiz" format becomes less effective the longer you work with it. Completing assignments, particularly longer assignments, often feels like guesswork instead of like the culmination of what you learned from that particular unit.”

“I enjoyed the course very much and I was pleasantly surprise to discover how much I didn’t know about the English language. I particularly liked the lessons plans assignments and the lesson on Phonetics (those was by far my favourite!) and actually wanted to ask you if you know of more resources about phonetics and pronunciation in general. “I thought the course was excellent. The grammar was quite challenging although a reference book recommended will prove useful going forward. The lesson videos were particularly useful - giving good examples and effective learning points. I think a few more resources could have been useful. For example downloadable copies of those used in lessons. They would be handy as a starting point for teaching.”

“I spent a great time doing the course, although I did have a slump in the middle, but I eventually finished it on time. I am thankful that the tutor (Joanna) was so kind to me and helped me through my assignments which were sometimes frustrating. I do hope there’s some improvement on communication between students and tutor. Sometimes it felt like one way communication only. But overall it was a great experience. Thanks a lot, telf.org.”

“I think the course was really good, I would only add some guidelines on how to build an academic plan for a student, like how to organize a course selecting the contents and the order in which it's best to teach them. everything else semmed perfect for me.”

“I really enjoyed my course with The TEFL Org, I was interested in starting a TEFL career in East Asia but only had a little experience as an English Tutor. After the course I feel like I have a solid foundation to go on and become a successful EFL teacher. A few weeks after the course I already have a couple of job offers in South Korea so I'm delighted with my decision to study here.”

“I was very impressed by the course. Especially at the speed and helpfulness of the feedback. Modules like the phonetic chart took me by surprise - it was very interesting. I also found the assignments very useful for consolidating what I had learnt. For the 600 word assignments I found myself needing to make up the word count so if I had to suggest something it would be that they were shortened. Overall I thought the content was very useful and I’m looking forward to putting it to use.”

“I enjoyed the course and learnt a lot. Definitely worthwhile and good value. I leave in a few days for a 5 week teaching internship in Paris which wouldn’t have been possible without this course!”
