“I had a great experience with my TEFL courses. They are self paced and the layout makes it really easy to understand information and go back to review things when needed. I definitely feel as though the courses laid a solid foundation for a successful career in teaching English.”

“The course was okay. I passed easily enough. My main frustrations with the course: 1. The website is glitchy. Takes ages to load regardless of browser and internet connection. Page constantly redirects to other part so site. 2. Course content generic and not very interesting. Same with tutor feedback on assignments - they give vague stock answers. 3. Really expensive product. What I liked about the course: 1. Easy to pass 2. Tutors mark assignments promptly.”

“The video instruction was very practical and informative. Having one person assigned to look over my assignments and answer any questions was also good. The only module that was not current was the telephone teaching course. There are many newer technologies now that need to be included. Perhaps in the future add a course on teaching phonetics and perhaps one on teaching people with little to no English.”

“The TEFL course that I completed through TEFL.org was very informative. Everything was self paced so there was no pressure to submit work daily or even weekly. The grammar course was a nice refresher. I’m a native English speaker but I forgot some of the grammar rules and some of their proper names in English. I learner a lot of the methodology class. Specifically in regards on how to prepare and teach language lessons. Some of the material from the course was not covered in my pedagogy classes in college so if you are already a teacher, the methodology class alone is worth it. My tutor Alex was very responsive and offered great suggestions on how to better my work. Overall my TEFL experience was great and I look forward to putting what I have learned into practice. Thank you!”

“I really enjoyed my experience with TEFL.org! I thought the modules were easy to follow and also well organized. I also found the classroom example videos to be really useful and informative. I will say, sometimes when trying to move on to the next module, the website would restart and take me back to my dashboard page (This was a bit annoying). Also, there were a few spelling errors within the modules, which did come across as a bit unprofessional. Overall, I did enjoy TEFL.org and I am glad I chose this program!”

“On balance the course was good although I felt I learned more about the actual delivery of the material from the day course than the online material. I commented at the end of each segment that I felt the quizzes were at time patronising and that overall the course was not that challenging. It was a shame that every demonstration video worked with a class of people who had good English. Finally I felt the teachers in the demonstration videos should have been personally miked.”

“It was a good introduction to teaching English as a foreign language. It did include some parts that I found to be irrelevant, since I understand what environment I would be teaching in. For example, there were courses on teaching English over the phone and in big classroom settings, which I know wouldn't be as relevant in the small classroom I will be teaching in. This said, it was still helpful overall, since I never know where my career heads.”
