“Overall the course was ok. Had a really bad experience with my tutor named Dee. I was confused at feedback she had written me, only to respond back in an extremely rude mannor. As a student PAYING for the course, I would never have expected to receive such a rude response from an EMPLOYEE. I’ve seen other bad reviews about her online too. Overall really boring and bad setup for the course. I guess it’s the cheapest option. Overall not a good experience”

“Very good course covering all the necessary information. Laid out in a clear way and lots of practical quizzes to help condense learning. Only issue I has was a glitch which meant a lot of the time when I went to the next page it would take me back to the course page, which was annoying but didn't effect the learning or my work.”

“I think the program was overall OK. I found a series of grammarical/punctuational errors throughout the presentations and text, which I'm happy to provide editing for in exchange for free classes. The tutor I had was nice, but I wish I would have gotten more detailed feedback on certain assignments, both positive and negative feedback. I haven't yet used the job search function so I can't rate that as of yet.”

“I enjoyed the course; it was well-explained, informative, and fascinating. I learnt a lot and enjoyed learning. My tutor Arthur is always available to assist me. But we followed this course with great dedication. We students put forth much effort and make many sacrifices to succeed. The certificate you issue has to have that value attached to it. It would be great if you could include a mention of your claim to be the most accredited TEFL organization in the certificate, or at the very least, an embossed stamp of some sort.”

Due to this we instead include the direct link on our certificates of where an employer can find this list on our website. “I enjoyed the classroom examples. However, you could not hear the response of the students. After awhile I just skipped the video and read the transcript but that was not as interesting or dynamic. Overall, I learned a lot and purchased the grammer books you recommended. Grammer was the most difficult section for me, even as a native English speaker.”

“The format of the classes were easy to navigate. It took me 6 weeks to finish the 120 hours. Anytime I had a question or concern, their customer service was on top of things ready to help. “Hello Andy, Thank you for this wonderful course. I would say that I initially found the format of the lesson plan tests extremely confusing. My first test followed a format that TEFL used often: requiring two different activities that were submitted in a single window. It took me a couple of tries to realize that there was no second window for the second activity, and both activities had to be submitted in a single window. This seemed unnecessarily confusing and also made tracking word count difficult. Each activity should have its own submission window. I would also set the lesson plan tests at a minimum of 300 words instead of 100 words and have a wider leeway for word count. It is extremely difficult to fit any lesson plan into 100 words. The opening course on grammar, speaking, reading, and listening provided great content, and I appreciated the teaching techniques module that presented so many creative ways to engage students. The large classes, online, and telephone teaching modules also gave smart ways of engaging and offered important information on use of different technologies and internet platforms. “It was different and captured my attention from the first module. I would suggest changing the Telephone teaching course’s name to Online teaching as after Covid, everyone should know about online platforms. Other than that, I enjoyed every second and the challenge it gave me.”

“Overall, I have had a very pathetic and lifeless experience with this program and I think it could use improvement. As someone who has taken online courses before, I found this one to be lacking in personal value and I should have none by the front page of the website looking too good to be true. I felt lost and out of the loop once I started. There were spelling errors everywhere. My first tutor was so terrible, I didn't even know I had one until halfway through my first course. She was not helpful and very laconic. I got switched to another tutor who could at least be patient enough to explain some things to me about the program that was not otherwise disclose. I felt lost and forgotten about. I have supicion this program is understaffed or alot smaller than it appears to be. The program is just mostly watching videos and doing multiple-choice questions on subjects that are redundant. I didn't learn many new things or anything interesting to apply. Classes ranked from most useful and engaging to the least: Grammar (straightforward but lacks intuitive ways of teaching), Methodology (the work is engaging but not balanced properly), Teaching large audiences (has some methods other professional teachers I talked to disagreed with), but hands down the worst one was telephone teaching. I was hoping that telephone teaching class would be relevant, but I found it extremely lackluster, and the final exam was unusually difficult for having an entire section on different outdated video streaming software. I would NOT reccomend TEFL.org.uk at all to non native english speakers as a native speaker myself, I struggled to understand the sentence formatting and termonology. It was distracting and very ironic....being a class that was supposed to teach me how to teach english. Also a majority of the videos is them just reading the course meterial to you allowed, I cant imagine a more boring way to learn anything, ever. I dealt with numerous technical errors such as being logged out over and over, not being able to log in, being accused of using AI when there wasn't any, and classes constantly saying they were incomplete when I had already completed them. I would have to re-watch things over and over to get the video to say complete. You pay for what you get. But the technical difficulties were what made the class go from mediocre to nightmarish. I told everyone I knew how I couldn't wait to be done and just get the certificate so I could spend my precious time learning in another class. The external resources and information is very shallow and way to optmistic where as other tefl courses actually give you cold hard facts and legit links or refferences. 2 stars. Originally 1 for being a bad experience overall but I will give one for their demonstration videos being authentic and for the course being affordable. This course has really affected my mental health worse than any class I have ever taken and everyone around me was shocked at truly how bad it was. Its dry and robotic experience has demotivated me from being excited to become a TEFL teacher. I wouldnt be so harsh if I wasnt being honest or if I was young and naive but I have taken online courses that were way better. Needs improvment. I strongly suggest a community hub that isnt a forum. A live chat is needed to understand some of these things otherwise it will take you months to pass this course to get all your questions and concerns answered so I just saught out support and community elsewere. At least please hire someone to fix the technical errors and typos. Update some of the course work. I got a grammar book from the thrift store for 50 cents that was more fun and engaging. Was not life changing. All the non lesson related issues was a huge waste of my valuable learning time and gave me a feeling of distrust. I wanted to look into teaching through the internship program through them but I think I will take my chances elseware. I have no idea why people would rank this 5 stars. I think those people are naive, or fake reviews. Also Live chat and Telephone was a option? I am online seeing this now in the review options. Further proving my point the tutors and assistance with this program were next to nothing. As a student I felt dismissed. How quick did they respond? I only get the option of 6-12 hours or over a week but the average is 1-3 days. Further proving my point their system avoids accountability. Whoever is running this program is definatly selling a product, not working for a school lol.”
