“On the whole I enjoyed the course; the grammar and methodologies modules were very thorough and quite intensive. I also found the teaching large classes and telephone teaching modules were useful to me, having never taught via telephone and being used to working one to one with my students in my current role. However I found the video observation module to be tedious, pointless and (being completely honest) quite patronising. Both the videos and the assignments attached to that module felt like a massive waste of time for anybody with a decent dose of common sense. I feel that there was no benefit to this module and it did not enhance my learning in any way. My assignments were marked quickly by my tutor and feedback was always useful, although there was one particular comment that seemed to go against what I had learnt on the module. On the whole though it was very much appreciated. I used live chat to solve a query regarding my email address too, which was quickly rectified using this method. I did try to use the customer service email address first though and got no response.”

“The course was truly helpful to me. Although as for examples of an actual classroom I would have appreciated more if there were at least one example of a classrom consisting students aged 4 or 5.”

“I enjoyed the entire course from learning my grammar, how to teach a small class, a large class, online, and via phone. I also learned how to teach business English to target topics such as job interview, dealing with customers, etc. Learning the structure for teaching a class was very intriguing. I am ready to teach fun English to some students.”

“It isn't easy to plan such a good seminar for such a huge crowd! And tefl.org has done it successfully! I really enjoyed it and I learned a lot about teaching methods and various resources that are one step beyond traditional teaching. My tutor was very helpful, and my assignments came back on time with helpful feedback and useful ideas. I can´t recommend it enough!”

“I believe that the TEFL course was well presented, with easily understood courses, combing video presentations with quizzes and assignments. “The overall experience with TEFL has been really good, especially the really useful feedback from my tutor, Alex, on my various assignment submissions. The feedback and the assignments helps to build your teaching portfolio before you've even started being a teacher! The course was easily manageable alongside my part-time role. The last star could be gained with some newer videos and making sure that the final tenses in the Grammar module are taught with more care. For example, the future perfect (simple) units mention how it's a difficult tense, but then such a short amount of time is dedicated towards it. Maybe that's the balance that needs to be managed with the course being 'just' 120hrs and because this tense isn't used all that often, but I still felt more confused on that particular tense than I would have liked.”

“Overall I enjoyed the journey of learning 120 hours TEFL. As working as a part-time professional, I broke down the hours to fit my schedule and made sure that I would learn and apply the knowledge from the course. I liked the most quiz and assignments. If anything, I would like to suggest that some videos could be animated or up-to- date. I would recommend this course to family or friend as it helped me secure a job as online English tutor once I completed it.”

“I think the 200-hour Online Level 5 Course is great. Here are few thoughts for improvement: - Including tips on teaching dyslexic students - I have read that some employers would like potential candidates to have both a teaching certificate AND a certificate in English fluency. I intend to be my own employer, but for those seeking employment, I wonder if this certificate will suffice. I mean, how can one possibly passthos course without mastering English?”

“Good day I can honestly say I really enjoyed doing this course. At some stages I actually got hooked and I could not stop. However the last task for the Methodology I found really challenging. “Really fantastic groundwork to get started on the path to teaching English as a secondary language.
