Would Highly recommend taps empire. Purchased a replacement toilet seat for an ideal standard toilet. The price was half the price of most other suppliers. Genuine ideal Standard part. Thank you.

I bought an Ideal Standard Tesi Aquablade Close Coupled Toilet 6/4l with Standard Thin Seat and had an extremely disappointing experience with this purchase. The toilet pan was delivered unboxed, which immediately raised concerns by the installer. A visual inspection was carried out before installation and no cracks were visible at that time. However, after only two weeks of normal use, a long crack appeared, causing safety concerns. After a lengthy back-and-forth and delays in communication, a replacement was eventually offered as a “gesture of goodwill”. I was explicitly told the replacement would be fully inspected by the quality department prior to dispatch. Unfortunately, the replacement delivered was in an even worse condition, with severe and clearly visible cracking. The delivery arrived without prior notice, and unlike the first delivery, the driver refused to bring the item into the property, leaving me to inspect it at the doorstep. This was particularly difficult as I was unable to move the item myself. Given that this was the second severely damaged toilet pan supplied, and that the condition of the replacement directly contradicted the assurance that it had been quality-checked, I have completely lost confidence in both the product quality and the customer service. While I understand the retailer acts as an intermediary, there is still a responsibility to ensure that suppliers provide products of acceptable quality. Overall, this has been a very stressful and frustrating experience, totally unacceptable and I would not recommend this company based on my experience. I am now requesting refund and waiting for their reply.

Dear Carol We have reviewed the details regarding the toilet delivered two months ago, and can confirm that no communication was received prior to the email earlier this year regarding the crack observed while cleaning. As the item was installed and in use, photographs showing the installed item and the crack were requested. The initial inspection of the photographs provided to the Ideal Standard warranty team suggested the damage may have resulted from impact or incorrect installation, as the item was delivered in perfect condition. However, a replacement was arranged from Ideal Standard as a gesture of goodwill. We sincerely apologise that the replacement arrived damaged, despite being palletised and shrink wrapped. Please note that our drivers are generally restricted to ground-floor entrance drop-offs and any delivery beyond that point remains at the driver's individual discretion. Since you have opted not to receive a further replacement, we have contacted Ideal Standard to process a full refund for the item under your warranty. Regards Tim
