“The Freja cookbook is a joy to use from start to finish. The recipes are thoughtfully crafted, easy to follow. Perfect for me as i'm not a super confident cook. “II have bought 2 cartons of freya bone broth chicken. I trusted the "great taste" label. It is probably one of the most disgusting liquid I had in my life. Both cold/hot in a soup.. the taste, the aftertaste.. it is the first time I write a review on food, but really this is so bad, I had to do it.”

“I live alone after my wife died, I am certainly no cook, I find the broth very convenient for lots of quick ideas for a benificial and quick meal. I really do feel that I have better health for it, I have especially noticed my skin and hair improvement. A nice taste too!”

“Taste like greasy chicken gravy. Sadly not for me, i order the chicken ramen and the taste is very greasy and very chicken boney ... thought it would be more savoury and not quite as greasy in taste. You certainly can't drink it, definitely needs to be added to something, even though it's advertised as a drink. It is really unpleasant in taste (think chicken water run off).”

“I tried Freja bone broth following gastric sleeve surgery several years ago and have had it regularly ever since. I use it in all my soups, stews and casseroles. I drink it on days when it's cold and whenever I'm a bit under the weather. I wouldn't be without it in my cupboard.”

“I have been drinking the chicken broth now for a week, initially I was unsure what to think about it, but as the days went on I really look forward to my cup of broth! I tend to drink it late morning to fill my hunger cravings and I find it super tasty. I am definitely going to be purchasing more and look forward to trying the Pho chicken and beef broth next!”

“Firstly I love the chocolate protein made into a hot choc so will continue to get that. I am however very sad about the vanilla protein and the unflavoured. I had the vanilla which I used to really enjoy but it frankly tastes awful! It has a very strong bitter/ ammonia type smell and after taste. I am particularly sad about the fact sugar has now been added to the unflavoured protein and the protein content has gone through the floor! I used to mix a flavour with half an amount of unflavoured and now I can't do that without hitting like 11g of sugar. It really isn't warranted in the unflavoured as I would say if people are buying that they are adding their own flavours, fruits and sweetening agents. Please consider removing the sugar from this again as it seems you has a lot of unhappy customers with regard to this move. I probably won't use my unopened packet of this now considering which is a shame and waste of my money really.... I will have to stick to chocolate and hope that doesn't change again.”

We added a little sugar to the Unflavoured to bring it in line with the rest of the sweet shake range - but we understand that for some, it is now too sweet. If your focus is max protein and collagen without the sugar, our Unflavoured Bone Broth Protein is a better fit. It’s our purest, most concentrated option (essentially the same product as the original Unflavoured Shake). “I completely echo the customer's feedback below on the unflavoured collagen shakes. Not only have I been using them, as a student nutritional therapist I've been recommending them widely and enthusiastically for their high protein content and lack of added sugar. Obviously I can't do this any more. So frustrating! Why do what everyone else in the market is doing when there is so obviously a gap for a high quality, sugar free version?”

If your priority is getting the highest protein and collagen per scoop, without any sugar, our Unflavoured Bone Broth Protein is still your best option. “You have changed your ingredients for your chocolate shakes! They don't mix as well (big clumps even though I use a electric whisk) whereas they used to form a lovely blended shake, they no longer taste of chocolate, more like a chocolate fudge and are too sweet. Please bring back the old ingredients!”

As we removed the sunflower lecithin, to make the product even cleaner and the nutritional content higher, it now mixes a little differently than before.
