“I have been drinking the chicken broth now for a week, initially I was unsure what to think about it, but as the days went on I really look forward to my cup of broth! I tend to drink it late morning to fill my hunger cravings and I find it super tasty. I am definitely going to be purchasing more and look forward to trying the Pho chicken and beef broth next!”

“Firstly I love the chocolate protein made into a hot choc so will continue to get that. I am however very sad about the vanilla protein and the unflavoured. I had the vanilla which I used to really enjoy but it frankly tastes awful! It has a very strong bitter/ ammonia type smell and after taste. I am particularly sad about the fact sugar has now been added to the unflavoured protein and the protein content has gone through the floor! I used to mix a flavour with half an amount of unflavoured and now I can't do that without hitting like 11g of sugar. It really isn't warranted in the unflavoured as I would say if people are buying that they are adding their own flavours, fruits and sweetening agents. Please consider removing the sugar from this again as it seems you has a lot of unhappy customers with regard to this move. I probably won't use my unopened packet of this now considering which is a shame and waste of my money really.... I will have to stick to chocolate and hope that doesn't change again.”

We added a little sugar to the Unflavoured to bring it in line with the rest of the sweet shake range - but we understand that for some, it is now too sweet. If your focus is max protein and collagen without the sugar, our Unflavoured Bone Broth Protein is a better fit. It’s our purest, most concentrated option (essentially the same product as the original Unflavoured Shake). “I completely echo the customer's feedback below on the unflavoured collagen shakes. Not only have I been using them, as a student nutritional therapist I've been recommending them widely and enthusiastically for their high protein content and lack of added sugar. Obviously I can't do this any more. So frustrating! Why do what everyone else in the market is doing when there is so obviously a gap for a high quality, sugar free version?”

If your priority is getting the highest protein and collagen per scoop, without any sugar, our Unflavoured Bone Broth Protein is still your best option. It’s our most concentrated format, with even more collagen and protein per serving than the original Unflavoured Shake - and just as versatile for adding to smoothies, coffee, or recipes. “You have changed your ingredients for your chocolate shakes! They don't mix as well (big clumps even though I use a electric whisk) whereas they used to form a lovely blended shake, they no longer taste of chocolate, more like a chocolate fudge and are too sweet. Please bring back the old ingredients!”

As we removed the sunflower lecithin, to make the product even cleaner and the nutritional content higher, it now mixes a little differently than before. “My first two pouches of chocolate bone broth shakes were 100% yummy 🤤 but I’ve just started a new pouch and it taste’s beefy!!! 🤢 I’m desperately trying to stomach it because of all the health benefits but it’s proving quite tricky, has something changed or have I just got an odd bad one!? Also I brought both Ramen flavours in bulk and the chicken one isn’t good to drink on its own it lacks any additional flavours so it just tastes like drinking strong chicken stock, the beef is better but disappointing in strength of other flavours. I’d also like to know if all the packaging is BPA and toxin’s free? Managing your subscription isn't straight forward and easy to access when you login and I would really love a Freja App or something that lets you put in what food you have at home that could be converted into Freja meal or maybe a Freja food plan and shopping list, I’d love to be able to just pull up an app while shopping that tells me what ingredients I need to add to my Freja products.”

Hi there, Thanks for your message. I’m really sorry to hear your new Chocolate Shake isn’t tasting as expected. We’ve recently updated the recipe to make it even cleaner and to give it a smoother, more velvety chocolate flavour. But it definitely shouldn’t taste beefy, and that’s not the experience we want for anyone. We’d be happy to send you a replacement pouch of a different flavour if you'd prefer to switch. Just drop a note to our team at hello@frejafoods.com and we’ll get that sorted. Thank you for your honest take on the Pho & Ramen range. These are intentionally subtle in flavour so they can be used either as a nourishing hot drink or a clean-label stock cube alternative in cooking. If sipping on their own, they’re lovely with a dash of spice, miso, or fresh herbs stirred through. As for packaging - yes, our cartons are BPA-free and are fully recyclable. They’re one of the most sustainable options out there, and we’re proud to stand by them. And we completely agree on subscriptions. We're in the middle of a full redesign to make the portal easier to manage. In the meantime, just email us if you need anything adjusted and we’ll take care of it 😌 Evie, Team Freja

“I have been enjoying the liquid bone broth for both Beef and Chicken as it is helping me in my recovery from a Gastric Bypass operation. It's full of flavour and has the nutrients that I need. I have been using it as a soup so far, but now that I'm making puree food, I will be using it as a stock.”

“I had the Instant Chicken Ramen Instant Bone Broth and it tasted delicious. I particularly love it as it has other ingredients that help with anti-inflammatory and boost metabolism e.g. ginger extract. I can feel the heat in my body suggesting thermogenesis effect after drinking this broth. I hope Freja continue to produce this broth and the Beef Pho Instant Bone Broth.”
