“We had a lovely restful time at Hope Cottage. The cottage was beautiful full of character and charm. We visited several National Trust properties in the area enjoying the Christmas themed experiences there. We also went to Rosemoor for the seasonal lights which were magical. We had relaxing cosy evenings by the woodburner. Altogether a perfect break to recharge before the Christmas rush.”

“Despite ending up leaving the booked accommodation a day early due to an ongoing heating issue ( the owners said they would advise Sykes of the situation) we have had no contact from anyone at sykes.....I feel this is poor customer service”

“What an amazing house with great views! We stayed as a family of 6 and a small cockapoo, all having our own bathroom was fantastic! This house seems to bring family together! It is located on the main road into St Ives so itās easy to catch a bus or walk down to the train station to catch the train to St Ives, you can walk down to Carbis Bay Beach from the property it is downhill there and uphill on the way back! But is a great dog walk and you can stop for coffee in the Carbis Bay Hotel. We travelled in December and had a lot of rain the hot tub is not undercover so we couldnāt use it as much as we would have liked. We have a small cockapoo and the garden was not secure, this was a bit of a downside as he couldnāt explore without someone with him. The Drive has electric gates and is on a incline so can make it difficult to manoeuvre. Make sure you have a meal in the badger inn Lelant home cooked food and dog friendly we loved it, we had such an amazing holiday canāt wait to book again!”
“The cottage is very warm and cosy but quite dark in winter.
It is well stocked and equiped; perhaps too many household items and childrens books toys and games.
It did come across as cluttered.
The kitchen flooring is quite worn in places and needs replacing.
A nice clean and comfy place to stay.”
“A great site with lots of options and dogs free, website also very easy to use and the ease of changing a booking is great, the only reason I've given 4 stars instead of 5 is because when you change a booking they charge you Ā£30, but you do all the work so not sure what that's for.”

“Lovely cottage, nice big rooms and comfy beds. Its just let down by a un personal touch. No welcome pack, no T bags coffee nothing. Cleaning could of been better also, cobwebs everywhere. We cleaned most of these ourselves.
Fire was nice, but no starter pack like said, just 3 charred logs and some newspaper. No kinderling and fire lighters...
Just spend Ā£5 each time someone stays and make us feel at home...”
