“Coram Lodge was clean tidy and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The imposing property was just 200yards from the Cob but via a very steep hill or 100 odd steps. The welcome pack was very comprehensive and greatly appreciated. The allocated Parking space at the property was a bonus. The kitchen had limited surface space and the under counter fridge was a little small for our requirements. The temperature control on the fridge could easily be accidentally moved to a different setting as we found out. The property was very warm and cosy with individual adjustable radiators.
We would be happy to stay here again and enjoy Lyme Regis and the surrounding area.”
“I FOUND THEM NOT TO BE THE EASIEST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH PURELY DUE TO THE LACK OF HUMAN ASSISTANCE. LIKE THE VAST MAJORITY OF COMPANYS THEY DON,T REALISE THAT OLDER PEOPLE EXIST. AT 86 I JUST FIND OLD FASHIONED VOICE COMMUNICATION INVALUABLE.”
“The comprehensive Web site gives accurate details on rental properties and the surrounding area. Swift confirmation of bookings and key collection information. Prompt assistance received from the office when it was required.”
“The property is located in a beautiful rural setting with easy access to the surrounding beaches - which are fabulous!
Wesley Barn is a luxurious place to stay. It is spacious, very well appointed, and thoughtfully equipped to cater for all needs. The hot tub is a really nice facility that helped to make our stay even more special.
The spacious garden is entirely secure and self-contained, meaning we didn't have to worry about letting our dogs out so they could explore.
The owner went that extra mile to make sure we felt welcome and could make the most of our stay.
Thank you for the Prosecco and the delicious cream tea!
We highly recommend a stay at the Carines Barn site with it's different accommodation options, and Wesley Barn in particular - you'll be delighted!”
“We have used Sykes Cottages for years and have never been disappointed. The website is easy to use, any queries we might have are dealt with quickly and efficiently. The properties have all been excellent. A brilliant site with lots of choices, we definitely recommend using them.”
“Just stayed at Ty Coed at Llanberis, snowdon. The cottage was beautiful, really well equipped with everything we could possibly need. It is also in the most perfect spot for roaming the mountains. Lovely welcome pack and very considerate owners. Cannot wait to get back there again.”
“Lots of choice of properties, have stayed in different types of accommodation in varied areas of the UK and all of them have been exactly as described and of excellent quality.”
“We regularly book holiday cottages through Sykes as there's such a good range of properties to choose from. The search filters are useful, when looking for specific features such as access, mobility needs, and if you have pets.
Sykes communications are excellent when booking, getting ready to start the holiday, and afterwards.”
“The Nest was a lovely little cottage, not far from Bempton train station (10min walk) and a bus stop very close by. Everything we needed inside and warm during cool April weather!”
“Excellent location, beautiful cottage. Snowdrop cottage was really clean with well equipped facilities. Beautiful area, loved the fact we had the choice of a walk on the moors or a walk on the beach.”
“Grange Cottages, Flamborough - Guillemot Cottage
Great place to stay in Flamborough, excellent cottage accommodation, fully equipped kitchen, walk in shower room, large bedroom (ours had a four poster!). TVs and WiFi. Location brilliant for visiting local attractions and towns, don't forget to check out the RSPB site at Bempton cliffs - the puffins might be in town! Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington all within easy reach plus Danes Dyke and Flamborough Head just down the road. Had a very enjoyable week including sunshine and blue skies for 7 days, wow. Sure to be back soon.”
“We had a recent stay in Peels Place Noddle in Eskdale and had to leave the property a day early, as the damp and mould in the cottage triggered allergies for most of the guests and I suffered with my asthma. The house could be lovely and is in a beautiful location (a bit tricky to find and our car only just fit down the lane), but needs a complete renovation. It needs more than a deep clean (strong smell of years of accumulated dirt); furniture and fittings date from the 1970's, furniture is badly stained and damaged, curtains are filthy, very old with missing curtain rails, kitchen lino is badly damaged and all kitchen cupboards and fittings dirty, and very dated. Evidence of a damp problem with black mould, rotten windows, ensuite shower is unsafe to use (freezing cold to scalding hot). More minor issues; only one set of jets working in the hot tub and it clearly hadn't been cleaned recently, no play station that we could find as advertised, the large notice board in the entrance way full of family photos from the 70's and 80's just felt a bit inappropriate for a holiday cottage, the key didn't work for the front door, the downstairs sink was out of use. On the plus side, Miles the owner is really lovely, friendly and kind. I'm sorry for Miles to be leaving such a negative review (and he did say he would get a plumber in and would address the problems but it needs more than a bit of patching up). I really feel that the house should not be let to the paying public in such a state, especially with the cost of self catering now so high. To be fair to Miles it is not the first terrible house we have rented through Sykes, and it's a lesson learnt not to use Sykes again as they clearly do not vet the quality of their lets.”
“The accommodation, in my experience has been routinely good - the quality and location of the accommodation is extremely high and there is always access to every service and utensil that might be required. Moreover, the assessment of space and propriety of party size is spot on.”
