“Very nice location and comfortable house. Bad point is it is not possible to contact landlord directly so we spent 3 days unable to watch TV as they had not logged out properly. Spent a large portion of our holiday on the phone explaining to Sykes who then spoke to landlord etc.
Two showers not working and one sink overflowing when toilet is flushed. Reported but nothing happened.
Parking restricted on road so some information on nearest parking spots would have been welcome. In fact any information would be better than nothing”
“Excellent weekend with the family - everything we needed, loved the large dining table. Everyone played games in the games room. Would highly recommend for a large family gathering, there was 14 of us, and still plenty of room.”
“This is the 4th time we have stayed at Lelley Barns and could not recommend it enough. I have attended both as a family with young children and as a group of friends for a 30th birthday and have been as impressed each time.
The communication with the owners is fantastic and the properties and hot tubs are spotless. The addition of home made cakes on arrival is the cherry on the top!”
“We recently spent the weekend here and were so impressed by the warm welcomes of the owners Mark and Uma. The surrounding areas to the cabin made for amazing walks all within a short distance from the cabin and the owners knew a large variety of activities and attractions near by. Overall an amazing experience and couldn’t ask for better people to have hosted us.”
“We had a fantastic stay at this lovely dog-friendly cottage. It truly had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break — well-equipped kitchen, cosy living space, and a really comfortable bed. It felt like a real home from home.
The location was perfect, peaceful yet just a short distance from Grasmere, making it ideal for exploring the village and the surrounding walks. Our dog was very welcome too, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!”
“We have booked regularly with Sykes so that we stay with our small dog in lively accommodations that have generally been in Derbyshire and just returned from our stay last week which was lovely and clean and quality fixtures and fittings.
We have booked again for the Cotswolds in the summer and have 3 others booked throughout the year. The only issue with Sykes is the £40 promotion that we have not been able to use only the £20/25 bloom discount plus we had a real
Issue with one a stay in Longnor and Sykes don’t do anything with the evidence.”
“The cottage and it's location were ideal for us and when we find next year's half term date we will book again. Just one issue - we booked the ferry by phone as I'm a wheelchair user and they stated that - contrary to the advertised details and joining details - the cottage has no discount arrangement with Wightlink so we did not benefit from that as expected. Maybe investigate that?”
“Lovely cosy cottage. Everything you really need. Very well thought out with plenty of coat hooks/sockets etc. Very comfy bed, hot shower, warm and comfortable. What more do you need ?”
“Really lovely place to stay, hot tub was brilloant and hot upon arrival and everything you would need in the kitchen and bedrooms.
Not a critisism at all but the tv is up to high to sit comfortably and the bed upstairs is very short. Im 5ft 2" and my feel hung off the end. If the ned was in a different position a longer wide bed would fit”

“We have used Sykes multiple times and have always had good service. The cottages are realistically advertised with clear photos and facilities. I had cause to use customer services recently and found the agent to be efficient, professional and resolved my query perfectly.”
