“Overall very good, all communication I've had has all been very positive. I've booked several properties and all very different, they are all pretty much as advertised. What I've noticed in all the properties I've stayed in is inadequate window dressing, see through and ill fitting,not enough attention is given to this area. Otherwise a great way to holiday home from home. Split payment is also very useful when planning ahead. Would recommend Sykes as a good holiday choice.”

“We have rented many Sykes cottages so this review is with that in mind
Pros: The cottage is in a very good spot with lots of walks right out the door. Also it is a short walk up the lane to the main street with lots of shops restaurants,cafes and pubs
Cons: Thee weather has turned cold and although the heating comes on at regular times we have to boast it for short period because the instructions are not very clear about turning the temperature up and having it in for longer periods. We found baking tray and the grill pan that had not been cleaned properly. Also the oven needs a really good clean. Also I found dirty plats and mugs in the cupboard amongs the clean ones. I think this is occurring because there are far too many many dishes and pot and pans for a cottage if this size so it is difficult for the person cleaning to check everything.
I was also surprised that there was no washing up liquid and the liquid hand soap in the bathrooms is running low.
The upstairs bathroom floor has underfloor heating but it doesn’t seem to be working.
It is a shame that these thing spoiled my view of the property when it is in such a good spot and convent to facilities.”
“A fantastic cottage in a stunning village.... Great comfortable bed , lounge and woodburner all good ,kitchen with warm Aga a joy, therefore cooking our meals a real treat ... so to sum up I can defintely say we will be back to walk Shropshire using this as our base. Thank you.”
“Unfortunately due to ill health I was unable to visit the Mews flat this time however the other two in my party had a wonderful time. They were very impressed with the flat and rated it first class. Also the grounds which they enjoyed immensely and look forward to returning next year.”
