Really enjoyed our stay here. The parking is a little limited as others can park near the property and unfortunately there’s only room for 3 cars. We were lucky that we only had an issue once. The place itself was clean and tidy and the children enjoyed the pool. We found the welcome email very informative from the owners and they were on hand to answer any questions before our trip. Would hope to come back again one day.

We had a delightful week in Lowena. It is perfectly located for the pub and shops and the beach. It was a great base for exploring the local area and the hosts were really helpful in making sure we had instructions and got in to the cottage. We will be back!

Sykes have always been are go to for UK holidays as they have the monopoly on the market. However I recently had to resolve an issue and contacted Customer Service and the process was abysmal. Long hold times, unhelpful agents, difficulty with communication. Very stressful situation. I will rethink using them in future.

Group of 12 golfers. Excellent accommodation, had everything we need for our stay. Tv took awhile to get working but apart from that really can’t complain. Shame the weather wasn’t great as we didn’t get the chance to use the well looked after garden. Highly recommend, hopefully be back again.

The cottage, I would describe as "rustic" and fitted the bill for me and my wife. Booking was easy and the information provided mostly adequate. We weren't sure whether there would be a hair dryer in the property and tried to get that information from Sykes but received no confirmation of this. The location of Dovecot Cottage is lovely and an easy walk to a couple of pubs with good food. The accommodation is very much on the cosy side with not a lot of room to spare when both of us were in the kitchen or bedroom and the equipment in the cottage was adequate, although the carpet and seating in thelounge area were a bit tired. The steep ladder stairs were ok for us but may not be suitable for less able folk. The surrounding gardens are delightful and the red sqirrels visiting the feeder were nice to see.

The bythyn was an excellent place to stay , comfortable and peaceful, beautiful views and gardens and a great , friendly host. Only downside was the internet connection disappeared and most of the TV stations, aside from those,it was an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful, clean, well equipped cottage, set in glorious countryside. The hosts were excellent, friendly and always on hand if needed. Ideally located for the Elan Valley, Hafren Forrest and the coast. We loved the week. We will definitely be returning.

Excellent cottage, very well equipped and the beds were ever so comfy. Perfect location , just a short walk to the most amazing gastropub and 10 mins drive to Clarksons farm. We had a wonderful stay.

We stayed at The Piggery a single storey accommodation on a farm The place itself was very clean and well equipped . It was further out than we expected though and the signings could have been better. A direct improvement would have been the provision of ax hospitality tray and some booklets advertising the beautiful locality for anybody new to the area. We didn't need the booklets but others may find them helpful?

Totally one of the best cottages we have stayed in, everthing you require during your holiday, spotlessly clean, all cooking facilities & associated needs perfect. Beds really comfortable, large bedrooms & storage facilities, cannot praise this accomodation enough.

Unfortunately the cottage was a disappointment. It was clean and tidy on arrival and the open plan layout was fine; the kitchen was very compact but well equipped. However, as with the previous visitors, the sofa and chair were very uncomfortable. Being so low we had difficulty in getting up and they were too low backed for us. We probably spent more time at the dining table! We soon discovered that, unless you were very careful, the curtains would slide off the rails as there were no end stops! As for the bathroom, what a disaster. It was small enough without the washing machine and tumble dryer. As the cottage sleeps only three, you do not need a full size dishwasher and a tumble dryer. If a slimline dishwasher was installed and a cupboard sacrificed, perhaps the washing machine could be fitted in the kitchen. Our main issue with the bathroom was the lack of grab rails. We did not feel safe trying to have a shower which was rather feeble and the shower head could not be positioned properly. To add insult to injury we had an infestation of insects. Fortunately, Adrian the handyman was able to sort it but not a pleasant experience. We also struggled with the front door. On the plus side our dog enjoyed the garden and we liked the location of the cottage. A pleasant very short walk to The Sun Inn which was excellent (we went four times) and another fairly short walk to the two shops. We would also recommend The Saxon Arms at Stratton, a fairly short drive. As you might guess, we wouldn't return to the cottage as it is. Whilst we have been critical our comments are meant to be constructive.

Great location, very comfortable, lots of rooms, well equiped. Good rural walks from the property. Superb range of fresh herbs in garden. The welcoming bottle of wine was appreciated. Downside: had immense difficulty accessing live TV channels.

It books a holiday rental. Insurance offers are poor and expensive. Just wanted to have accidental damage insurance for potential breakages or damages for piece of mind with in the accommodation. Getting hold of somebody to cancel was lengthy and time consuming. On 1 account ins reads as what I needed, but when bought implied it was more related to ins for us rather than the accommodation. When I eventually spoke to sykes cancelling was easy.

We have stayed at this cottage for a number of years and it never disappoints. The location is superb and it really is a home from home the owners are so frendly and make your stay perfect in every way. A beautiful safe garden for the dogs make this a stress free holiday for all. 10/10

This was our second visit to Quoits cottage. A beautiful place to stay. Exceptionally well presented. The bed was so comfortable. Plenty of good night's sleep had by both of us. So very peaceful. Listen out for the owl. Sammy Leadley is a wonderful host. It is important to her that her visitors have a wonderful time. There are not many hosts that would leave you a cream tea in the fridge and a hamper of local goodies. Take the opportunity to watch the local teams playing quoits outside the front door. The Cropton brewery is well worth a visit and Fortunes Kipper shop in Whitby is the best in the country. Keep an eye open for Curlews, Grouse and Red Kites on the moors
