“This cottage in Weymouth was our first experience of Sykes cottages and it couldn't have been better. The location of Smugglers cottage, right in the heart of the Brewers Wharf district was perfectly placed for it's access to the bars and cafes around the harbour and was just a short walk away from the town centre and beach. We will certainly be using Sykes Cottages again in the future.”
“A good choice of dog friendly cottages, which clearly state the number of dogs allowed.
Impossible to get to speak to anyone when trying to extend dates, had to go through the owner to do this. We also had to do this last year when trying to change the dates.”
“The apartment was absolutely beautiful. Seemed to have recently been re-decorated. The location was brilliant if you don’t want to be right in the centre and are happy with a short walk in. Which was perfect for us. Highly recommended. It has everything you need.”
“I had questions to ask about the property. I contacted customer services numerous times through their chat service. I would explain what I wanted to know and then an automated response would be submitted saying someone would contact me shortly. A supposed person would join the chat, ask how I was , then they would close the chat meaning I would have to start again with my question. Not very professional when trying to contact Sykes and very disappointing.”
“Used Sykes for many years, and in that time, i have only had one issue that required their office help during my holiday, which was quickly sorted out. Admittedly, it is now not as easy to contact the office directly, as it is mainly online bookings, but this runs quite smoothly with office backup if required.
Sykes do have good UK coverage, and I always find a cottage for my budget, even short notice, as i've often booked the day before, and even on the day of my holiday ( but check with the office for such little notice).
All in all, a good holiday provider.”

“This house certainly has the WOW factor. It is the best property our group of 4 couples and one dog have stayed in. We always look for 4 bathrooms or en-suites and every bedroom was beautiful. The interior design and all the fixtures and fittings are top quality. The kitchen is equipped with everything our party of eight needed even a slow cooker which we forgot to bring! We loved the relaxing courtyard, the hot tub and outdoor furniture. Perfect position on a quiet road and less than a 10 minute walk from the beach. The owner was easy to contact and very helpful. It would be hard for anyone to find fault with this beautifully designed house.”
“Lovely modern apartment in our favourite spot on Anglesey. Really appreciated the welcome pack, with fresh milk. However, this is a modern apartment block and noise echos throughout the building, doors slamming etc. Soft closing doors could solve this. We were also bothered by the road noise which was unexpected on a country road but the speed cars travel from very early in the morning makes quite a racket. If this is something you’re used to then it’s a perfect apartment. We might try one of the apartments at the back next time because they are lovely.”
