“Nice clean modern house with everything we needed for a lovely stay on Anglesey with 2 dogs. Very handy for Benllech beach which is great for the dogs We were here in April but do just check for any beach restrictions relating to dogs
Even going to beaches on the west side only takes around 30 min by car to Newborough or Rosneiger
The house garden is nice for sitting out on a sunny evening and is safe for the dogs, being fully enclosed.
Plenty of of pubs and takeaways nearby if you don’t want to cook and many pubs are dog friendly.
We had a lovely April break here and would return.”
“I had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was easy to find, and collecting the keys from the key safe was simple and convenient. The location is absolutely perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful break in a remote setting. There was plenty of parking, and being able to park right next to the cottage made loading and unloading really easy.
The views from the cottage are stunning, and at night you can clearly see the stars, it’s incredibly quiet and peaceful. There’s lots of local wildlife around too, which made the stay even more special. The area is full of beautiful walking routes, and I really enjoyed exploring the surroundings. The cottage is also dog‑friendly, which was a big bonus for us. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
My score would have been a 5, but the oven was very dirty. I usually cook pizza directly on the shelf, but I couldn’t do that because it was completely black. Otherwise the cottage was very clean. As expected, the kitchen equipment wasn’t brilliant either. The cottage has a private water supply, and the water was brown. We purchased bottled water before arrival because we have stayed in cottages with a private water supply before and prefer the bottle water because of the taste and the colour can be off putting.
Just a note for future guests: the nearest shop is about a 20‑minute drive and is a little pricey with a limited seletlction, and the closest supermarket and petrol station are around 50 minutes away. Make sure you arrive with everything you need or be prepared for a bit of a drive.”
“Clean and cosy cottage providing everything you need for a short break. Off road parking and enclosed garden for your dog.
Quiet area with easy access to Chippenham and castle Combe., which is so pretty.”
“Very nice cottage well presented and with a lovely waterfall right out side the cottage, can't wait to go back again would like to thank Kate for the stay at her lovely home”
“A fantastic holiday, in a brilliant cottage set in lovely countryside. Ty Den is beautifully maintained and has everything we needed for a superb holiday. Ty Den is on the Pilgrims way meaning you can walk straight from the front door. We walked over to Llanberis, the Dinorwig Quarries and up to the Marchlyn Mawr reservoir straight from the front door. It is also easy and quick to reach the coast and other parts of the Llyn Peninsula by car. The view up the valley from the picnic table is second to none. We had a week of brilliant weather and got used to the view of Snowdon summit and the Crib Goch ridge whilst sitting outside. We should also mention and thank the really helpful owner, Vernon, who gave excellent advice on where to go, and routes to take. Overall a brilliant holiday in a really lovely cottage.”
“Warm and well equipped. Excellent information booklet . Sofas not comfortable and the garden furniture also was uncomfortable. Good position for all amenities”
“Well appointed, comfortably furnished, quiet and convenient location in the village of Timsbury.
Within easy reach of Bath, Bristol and surrounding towns and attractions by both car and public transport.Would certainly recommend.”
“A lovely place to stay but the approach to the property is 2 sharp turns which I managed in my van
And worth the effort
But only 2 issues and I’m being picky with this one there are no hooks to hang up towels so had to hang them over the doors
And the shower only had enough warm water for one person”
“The Little Loft is an excellent, comfortable cottage. Every thought was put in to making the most of a small cottage giving you everything you need for a short stay. Providing milk, juice and biscuits was a lovely surprise. Will certainly be back.”
“This is my husbands and mine second visit to Petlyns Patch and we enjoyed it just as much as the first visit time or maybe slightly better due to the great weather. Lovely welcome pack on arrival which is much appreciated and we loved relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of Prosecco. Good comfortable bungalow and greatly placed on the island for visiting places of interest. Will be hoping to return again in the not too distant future. Thank you.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our time located at the Abraham. The cottage adequately provided everything we needed for our week long stay. Bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed learning some of the local history from Sean (the host) who we’d had to contact when we encountered a problem with the hot water. The issue was addressed was immediately. All fixed with a cheerful smile. The area was lovely, lots of beautiful scenery and history. The only slight negative for us was the stair case ( we’re in our seventies). We would though still definitely recommend and may well revisit ourselves in the future.”
“Cosy, bathroom could do with a heater but the shower excellent.
Brian very informative on the local area, the pub is just up the road and serves great beers and food.”
