“The house suited our needs - big enough for family over Christmas with enough rooms to fit in all generations. Location in the middle of Buxton was perfect for walks/supermarkets/cafes and pubs.
The house would benefit from a full clean and re-fresh in all areas (from the oven, to the stairs, walls, curtains, windows)

“The house was absolutely lovely, spotless, comfortable and had everything you would need on a short break. The location was AMAZING if you like to explore your surroundings - so close to some of the most amazing beaches I’ve seen. We spent many hours on Llandwyn beach and went to Rhosneigr, both gorgeous.
The only negative I experienced was the EV charger and I recommend that the owners change providers. It was called Square Up And was really glitchy - it told me my visa had expired (it hadn’t) and it would only charge in 15 min bursts with the option to extend by 15mins once. It kept logging you out after each 15 mins and you had to request a new log in link every time! It’s a slow charger so if you are needing to fully recharge you are in for a total headache. I really only chose the house because it has an EV charger so this was a right pain. It shouldn’t be this difficult or clunky.”

“Vigo Cottage was a delight! It was very well equipped, well appointed, & decorated beautifully for Christmas. The wood burner added a very cosy atmosphere in the chilly weather. The greeting pack of bread, butter, milk, tea & coffee was very much appreciated too! All round a thoroughly enjoyable Christmas break, thank you!”
“We had a lovely Christmas break here. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. The Christmas gifts left by the Christmas Tree, was a very thoughtful, kind gesture, thank you very much. The lack of Wifi was no issue to us at all, as we had enough on our phones to look at tickets etc.
I could see the low beams being an issue, but as we are 5ft & 5.7ft. It wasn't really an issue. I would recommend Twincote.”
“This is a gorgeous, modern, well equipped cottage. Ross the owner provided great communication prior to our arrival. We were greeted with a plethora of goodies from the owner, which was a very nice touch.
The cottage has a large living room, kitchen and downstairs toilet. Upstairs there are 2 large, modern bedrooms, a bathroom with free standing bath, shower cubicle and toilet.
The temperature was set via a thermostat in the living room which could be manually adjusted. We only altered it a couple of times, as we found the set temperature of 21 degrees very comfortable.
The location is close to many pubs and 2 supermarkets. There is no outside space, but at this time of the year it is not needed. We found many lovely walks a short drive away.
The standard of the cottage and cleanliness is exemplary. We will definitely return.”

“The property (the Old Post Office) was lovely and in a ggreat location , however when we arrived the main bathroom had not been cleaned , the toilet and sink was dirty. The rest of the property was fine so I am not going to make a big issue about it as it obviously got forgotten or overlooked. Also as we had 4 adults in the property there was only 2 mugs , 2 wine glasses so we had to go out and buy extra. Very small issues but these little details make a difference of a good place and an excellent place”
“We stayed over the Christmas period was lovely. The cabin was cute and the area was beautiful. The only thing we had trouble with was there’s not an oven and we struggled working out how to use the microwave/grill//convection oven as not used one before. Was a lovely stay though”

We have used your company since you took over Menai Cottages many years ago and you manage some outstanding properties but I find your marketing policy tedious and intrusive.
