“The Arched House was a joy for a week. Lovely owners. Beautifully furnished, comfy beds. Towels could do with replacing, they were ok for the three children.
Sykes itself is the most appalling company that I have booked a holiday with. Several times before the holiday I tried to communicate via phone2x 40/45 mins. Emails etc.
Eventually Zi located the owner to request 2 extra sets of bedding as family going on the Monday and then friends coming. He willingly agreed. I then got an email from Sykes stating that they had contacted the owner and bedding could only be changed after 10 days. I queried this saying they needed to speak to the owner as he had agreed. An email came back stating the same as above and also very rudely suggested that we bring our own bedding. So we did and then the owner came around with bedding. Sykes had obviously not spoken to the owner. We had by then used our own bedding. If I was the owner I would move from them and book direct or with Lyme Bay Holidays who were more helpful.”

“Trefor Ganol is a beautiful house, very well equipped, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. We wanted to be out in the countryside and this house did not disappoint. We were extremely impressed with the provision of dog beds and bowls - our dog was very comfy on the dog beds. Three observations: be aware that the directions on the link from Sykes took us to the wrong property - they took us to a group of barn conversions further up the road on the opposite side of the road. Secondly, the upstairs shower was not hot at all. Finally, not the end of the world, but it was a bit of a nuisance having the dishwasher in the utility room rather than in the kitchen as you had carry dirty dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, through to the other room to load and unload the dishwasher - but it didn’t ruin our stay! Will definitely stay here again.”
“Had another brilliant holiday break with Sykes at St Margarets, Carbis Bay. We did have a couple of minor issues with the accommodation which was sorted out very quickly. Not going to stop us booking again! No8 is our favourite location in that neck of the woods.”

“2nd visit to this delightful cottage set in a good location. Close to Pub/Restaurant/Amenities, The Beach & close to Filey Town (3 miles) & other seaside towns.
Clean & Comfortable, although the beds/stairs did creak a little, however, this did not detract from enjoying the property.
One problem that we experienced was the Televisions needed retuning. This probably happens when occupants are not familiar with different brands of TV & try to correct. Strongly recommend phoning contact in the Information Pack for assistance & retuning as to doing it yourself.
Enjoyed staying hear the 1st time & this time, will try to book hear again when we visit this area in the future.”

“Really good for us, mother has mobility issues so being all on one level was great. Just 2 shallow steps to get inside which she can cope with fairly well. 3 beds and each with a bathroom an added bonus. Had everything we needed, a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, very good indeed!”
“We stayed in "Keeling" at Exmouth. Very nice property but:- Shower over bath was extremely difficult for older folk, or those with less mobility, to access. Bath was very deep with no grab rails. The property description should have highlighted this.
Car parking arrangements were not as advised to us .
On arrival at 16.00, the cleaners were still there. They said they hadn't been told we were coming! We had to wait 30 minutes to get access. Your comments will be appreciated.”
“Beautiful cottage. Wonderful garden and great location for beach walks. All appliances worked very well apart from the downstairs shower which isn’t powerful enough to wash your hair and there is no shower head over the bath.
Waste collection doesn’t match with what it says in the information provided.
I would visit again because of the shower issues.”
