“Have booked with Sykes before with no problem however I am so disappointed with the company this time! I booked my holiday for four people. Afew days later Sykes cancelled the holiday saying something about a pricing problem. I later had a phone call from the owner of the holiday home saying that because Sykes had put the property up at the wrong price they had cancelled the holiday & blocked his bookings. He said he would contact Sykes & ask them to honour my holiday at the original price. Sykes eventually got back to me offering me no booking fee and £50 off the holiday but they would only hold it for 24 hours ( all the other dates for the month were still blocked out) so we were pushed into a corner to except as we wanted the holiday. Now afew days later they are doing a 10% off for early booking offer and that would have given us a better deal anyway!! So much for their 'good will gesture!! Push us to take the offer before we could get the 10%!! And they should have excepted the agreement from the original payment of the original holiday price anyway. Such bad customer service”

“We had a few days at Yeoman's Cottage. Unfortunately we had to cut short our stay due to health problems. However, we couldn't fault the cottage and it's facilities. John and Ruth made us very welcome and we would certainly consider booking further stays at the cottage.”

“Have used Sykes a few times now & I guess they have to rely on the descriptions submitted by owners so have had a few issues to report/leave feedback on. On the Search page I would like to see a 'compare' option as on this occasion there were 3 or 4 cottages that we were looking at and had to keep flipping between them until we made our final decision. Seeing and comparing 3 or 4 would have been easier. Something for you to think about Sykes and remember it was my idea !!”
“The cottage was really well presented, really clean with some lovely touches! The beds were comfortable, the sitting room cosy and the kitchen was lovely and well stocked. Bathrooms were all clean with the main bathroom having a lovely and huge cast iron bath. The staff at Sykes were incredibly helpful and quick to deal with booking and when we accidentally locked ourselved out!”
“Stunning setting, clean and spacious cottage, great facilities for disabled people especially the pool.
Wheelchair roundabout in children's play area not working.
Kitchen equipment really basic - have asked twice for an inventory and not had one both visits but recommend bringing chopping board, cleaning materials (sponge, clothes, tea towels, spray), kitchen knife.”
