“Idyllic location very peaceful on lake side with lots of wildlife all around. Yurt was comfortable with very comfy large clean bed. Cinema included, with sauna, jacuzzi, bbq, log burner and roll top bath. Very relaxing.”

Spotlessly clean throughout, and very comfortable bed. Good shower and everything you need in the kitchen. Decor was beautiful and looked freshly done.
We found the busy road a little bit noisy the first night with windows open so we closed them and opened the nearby window in the shower room . That was much better.

“This is a review of Sykes Cottages as a rental agent, not the property we rented. Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review as the communication from Sykes Cottages was abysmal. They have clearly transitioned to AI chat bots and messaging to handle communications and it's a disaster. My octogenarian father who lives in Canada rented the cottage for our family holiday, and then asked me to assist with any follow up. Not once, despite over a dozen attempts, did a real person reply to an email, answer a phone call or read a text message. After being encouraged (by a bot) to download their app, I was unable to access the booking as my mobile number and email didn't coincide with their booking system. There was no other way to follow up, even after deleting the app and trying again. How embarrassing for Sykes Cottages. I can only hope that the impact on the environment made by the AI systems used not to reply to me was of no great significance. Submitted anonymously as there is no other choice available other than using my father's full name which I don't wish to do.”
“I had a wonderful one-week stay at this beautiful cosy cottage, set in a charming and peaceful village. The location is perfect, with easy access to the seaside and several stunning stately homes, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding area.
The village itself is a real highlight, with two excellent pubs serving great food and a lovely tea room—all within easy walking distance.
The cottage was immaculate, quiet, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower room was modern and excellent.
Overall, a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay—I would highly recommend it and would happily return”
“Always goes smoothly with plenty of reminders for all your preparations ahead of travelling. One request - Is it possible to add either a disabled friendly sign or state that the properties you are viewing have stairs. Quite often you think you’ve found a property to book only to have to scan all the way through the photos to find stairs in the pictures - having said that even then some properties don’t show stairs even though the do have them.”
