“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rosslare Cottage. The cottage is set in a secluded and peaceful location yet near to local amenities and the visitor attractions that are to be found in Broughshane. The cottage is well presented and equipped with all that is needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage is perfectly located as a base from which to explore all the major visitor attractions as well as the surrounding countryside and the 9 Glen's of Antrim. A "Welcome" pack on arrival alongside excellent communications from the owners made for a memorable first visit to Northern Ireland. Highly recommended.”
“I had a superb stay. Lttle Trevallan was perfect in every way. Hosts warm and welcoming but unobtrusive. Such a beautiful area for walking and exploring. Good shops and eateries in Looe. Some very steep hills, but the views are worth it. Maybe a few more directions on finding Little Trevallan would help poor navigators like me. E.g. mention it is second left after Hay lane, then follow road to end and turn sharp left at Dove Rock. Many thanks.”
“We were blown away by this place. It's huge, there were 16 of us and a few dogs and we were very comfortable.
There's a playground in the garden better than most you'll find in public parks.
The place was very clean, everything worked, we couldn't have asked for a better weekend.”
“Acorns holiday cottage is a lovely, spacious, clean and well-furnished accommodation situated in a beautiful, quiet area. We were really made to feel at home and would love staying there another time.”
“We really enjoyed our stay at Ivy Cottage. Directions would benefit from What 3 words location. Property over 3 floors with toasty underfloor heating. Would definitely stay again, great views from the kitchen!”
“We stayed here weekend of 17th April.
Directions were spot on and we found the house easily.
The house is beautifully decorated, with a very comfy sofa and huge tv and sky tv (which my husband thought was amazing).
The bathrooms were a good size and the shower room was handy as the bath was quite high for my mother to climb into.
The hot tub was great, nice and hot plus plenty of towels to use.
The owners left a lovely basket of goodies and a bottle of fizz which was greatly appreciated.
The kitchen had everything you needed and a lovely dining area in the conservatory.
The house was located in a quiet area and only a short walk to the train station and further into town.
A great place to use as a Base to explore Northumberland or Scotland.
We loved this place and would definitely stay again.”
“This was our 2nd stay here and just as good 2nd time around. Lovely cottage with huge kitchen/dining space complete with everything you could want. Lovely lounge on the first floor overlooking the countryside complete with Snuggles and Humphrey, the 2 friendly donkeys. We loved our evenings in the hot tub with the complementary bottle of Prosecco. Beautiful place and beautiful area.”
“I made a booking. I wanted to discuss arrival time - as it was the weekend there was only a chatbot which failed to answer my question. There was no telephone number for the owner or assistant on arrival. Even on departure I had no ability to contact.”
“This is a lovely cottage ideally suited to two friends sharing in our case, but would equally suit a small family. The parking is plentiful and it is a very pretty cottage. Inside it is tastefully furnished, clean, tidy and comfortable. The owners are friendly and very helpful. Painswick is beautiful with nice restaurants and pubs nearby. The scenery is stunning and there is plenty to do in the area. The only thing other that would have been useful in the kitchen was a casserole dish.”
“Had a fantastic time host were brilliant and the accommodation was perfect Only thing is I’m still waiting for £100 reimbursement for the good housekeeping.”
“Beck Steps is in the beautiful village of Chapel Stile, which is ideally situated for an abundance of walks straight from the door. The cottage is warm, cozy and well equipped. The newly refurbished bathroom is wonderful. We just felt there could be a bit more attention to detail with the cleanliness of the property - the extractor fan in the kitchen didn’t appear to have been cleaned in a very long time.
We loved the location, the walks in the area, the cozy feel (we provided our own kindling/firewood for the log burner). We ate at the local pub which was very popular and well supported and if you have a smaller appetite most dishes are available as a smaller plate.”
“There was an unpleasant smell on entry to the property. The lounge and kitchen could do with a refresh. The paint work in the lounge was chipped.
The bathroom ceiling had mould growing. Some of the wall tiles near the towel rail were broken.
The beds were comfortable, however the sheet on the kingsize bed was stained and had black hair on it.”
