“The property was a mixed bag. The bed was very comfortable and the heating was good. There was a dishwasher and washing machine, but we chose not to use them. It was stylish, and the location was great. We didn't take our car. It was just minutes by foot from the sea and the shops. There were some practical problems however, the main one being the shower and bath. Whichever way we tried to use it, it was almost impossible to not get water over the floor. Shower curtains were pegged around it and this meant pushing your hand between the pegged curtains to access the controls. So it was easier to turn the water on before getting in and to leave the water flowing, rather than turn on and off whilst having a shower, creating quite a lot of steam even with the window open Also, the blind chain was so high up in the bedroom, we had to stand on a stool to raise and lower the blind; somewhat precarious. So a mix of good aspects and not so good.”

“We absolutely loved our stay at Finn House. The location was perfect, surrounded by nature and so peaceful. The place felt calm and private, just what we needed for a proper break. Everything was really well equipped, from the kitchen to the little touches around the house, which made it so comfortable and easy to settle in.
The open fire was a real highlight, especially in the evenings. It added such a cosy feel and made the whole place even more inviting. The facilities were spot-on and clearly well thought out. You can tell the owners have put a lot of care into making sure guests have everything they need.
If you’re after a spot that’s quiet, comfortable, and beautifully set up, Finn House is perfect. We’ll definitely be back.”

“Wonderful peaceful retreat which was more than we thought - walks with nature in the grounds where we spotted a fox, muntjac, squirrels and ducks swimming in the lake -during our 4 day stay, not to mention the barn owl at night and also a heron. We were given a very warm welcome by Bill and Carol. Close to all local seaside resorts as well as a Roman Fort at Castle Burgh, and a Prior in St Olaves just down the road.”
