The king size bed is really comfortable. Harbourside is very central to all amenities with several nice places to dine in the evening. Would certainly recommend to friends.”

“Sykes, in our experience, is very good and can be highly recommended. They have a great selection of available UK holiday properties to rent and we have booked many times, and will continue to do so.
They offer a small %discount linked to the number of bookings you make, however both my wife and I take turns, and paying for bookings - so the %discount doesnt stack up for our total books.
For note: following my last booking I received an increase %discount from 25% to 40% off my next booking.

“Last time i will book anything with Sykes. I have had no complaints from previous bookings but now i have an issue with the last property being dirty, dangerous, run down and a total misrepresentation of the property description, the customer service team have blocked all attempts to contact me to resolve the matter. Any attempt to contact them by phone, email or chat have been redirected up dead end streets. Totally unacceptable way to treat customers.”
“Overall, our stay was disappointing as the property didn’t quite match the description or photos. It felt quite cluttered and lacked storage space, which made it difficult to settle in comfortably.
We also found some cleanliness issues, particularly in the kitchen, and needed to wash items before using them. The layout, with multiple steps and limited safety features such as handrails, made it challenging for older members of our group.
Parking was more limited than expected, and some areas of the house were not as easy to use as we had hoped.
While the location is lovely, the property would benefit from improved maintenance, clearer information in the listing, and a more streamlined layout to better meet expectations.”
“Our first visit to this cottage was 2022 and we have been back every year since.
Peaceful, quiet and lovely countryside and places to visit not too far away. The accommodation is comfortable and always spotlessly clean. A great area of Northumberland.
The main thing to remember is your groceries as there is no local shop and the local pub isn't open every day and does close early sometimes when it is.

“The stay was very easy and comforteable. Getting all the information about the property beforehand was ideal. Including the uneven original staircase and floor boards. The 1500s property had alot of charm. The only thing that could have helped would have been to modernise the floor of the bathroom for taking showers. Without taking away from the feel of this old cottage. As had happened with the kitchen.”

“This was our 1st dog stay holiday. We went to Puffins rest near penzance and it was amazing. Our dog was calm and relaxed. The accommodation was amazing and dog friendly 😍 locals were friendly and went to long rock beach which our dog loved. Would highly recommend and we would go back again.”

“Our second stay at Compton Grange, we love everything about the house which is comfortable, well equipped and stylish in a stunning location.
However, there are ongoing maintenance and cleanliness issues as mentioned in previous reviews and the house is starting to look tired.
Assuming these thing will be addressed, we looked to book the same week next year but where shocked to see a price increase of over 50%! As much as we love the house, we find this incredibly difficult to justify - so sad 😞”
