“The house was immaculately clean and everything was well thought out - shoe cupboard in hall, two showers & loos. A lovely collection of real house plants made it feel a real home from home. We didn’t explore the garden as the weather wasn’t really good enough for sitting out but looked lovely. Parking was quite tight for our X3 as the road was narrow and there were lots of cars. Just a short walk from town and all the amenities it was well placed for us - town is narrow streets and lots of cars so good to be able to walk there. There is a lovely walk close by that was full of bluebells and wild garlic, just right for an early morning adventure before heading out for the day. The only negative was the poor WIFI and the smart tv dropping out all of the time, but books and a jigsaw kept us occupied!”
“Second time visiting sleepers cottage and it is perfect for our little family, was clean on arrival and had everything we needed. Lovely open grass area around the back for the kids to play on. Will hopefully return in the near future”
“The house we rented through Sykes was perfect. The location furnishings equipment and cleanliness first class . The whole process of booking with a deposit was easy. Reminders when further payment due were helpful. We would definitely recommend and use Sykes again .”
“Rubbish company swindled me out of ÂŁ400 and wouldn't budge.
The house was faultless, no thanks to Sykes.
Please don't trust them or there ÂŁ10 deposit nonsense, scammers.”
“The cottage we stayed in was really modern and comfortable with lovely views and a nice patio and garden, the booking process was simple and Sykes cottages handle the whole thing brilliantly.”
“Amazing cottage. kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Great location and car parking was a big plus. Would definitely stay again if we came back to seahouses.”
“Some properties are super great others less so in one I got a server chest infection from the damp bedroom and fungus spors growing on the damp wood beams which lasted for months”
“We had a most enjoyable time at cosy Tiny Willow.Although small. everything had been thought of for our comfort.
We arrived to find Suzy had left us local goodies and a bottle of wine. All must appreciated.
Troy enjoyed the well fenced garden area. There was also outside seating and a barbeque. Sadly, the weather was too unsettled to take advantage of
these.
We hope to return.
Rick and Tricia .”
“I stayed in The Old Stables, Bamburgh from 08/04 - 11/04. Whilst the cottage itself was dog friendly; the surrounding area was not. We could not find any dog friendly walking paths nearby and the local beach had a "private" sign. When I tried to find out whether there were any local paths, sykes was unable to advise and there was no response from the owner despite leaving 3 messages. The cottage was beautiful but needed some maintenance - e.g. the fridge freezer leaked; the extractor fan did not work over the cooker or in the downstairs loo. There were very limited instructions about the property and no response from the owner as to how to deal with these issues.”
“The descriptions of the cottages and the ease of booking are the plus points. However contacting customer services can be a bit challenging. Once the call is answered I going the service agent helpful.”
