“The cottage and the location are perfect. Everything you need for a great holiday. The owner was also very helpful taking our luggage in for us and explaining everything we needed to know.”
“Cottage was lovely, unfortunately the neighbours on either side both smoked weed so we were unable to use the garden due to the constant stench of it. Not great and certainly wouldn’t have paid that much money not to be able to use all the facilities”
“The cottage is lovely and the location was fantastic - walking distance of a pub and tearoom , and beautiful views from every window. The only reason for not giving five stars is that the cottage windows do need some tlc - they need refurbishing and what was annoying is that most of them were either painted or locked shut. We were visiting during warm and sunny weather ( unusual I appreciate for Northumberland !) and it was annoying not to be able to open the windows. At any time of year it would be frustrating in the bathroom - there is only one ( which includes the toilet ) and the fan is quite inadequate to deal with the 4 guests we had.”

“Chapelside cottage was perfect for our short break in the Lake District. It was very clean and comfortable and in a great location - 5 minutes walk from the shops, pubs and restaurants of Ambleside and a convenient base for heading into the mountains.”
“Cottage, lovely thatched, garden lovely, living room. Would have been a lot warmer if kitchen door closed to keep heat in the room. biggest issue was the oven as regards health and safety. Door does not open fully, consequently evening meal ended up on floor big health and safety issue , trying to take meal out of oven with one hand, and keeping door open at same time. Lovely village, friendly people, nice walks.”
“We found the apartment to be a great location within a 5 minute walk of the beach and local shops even closer. It has safe convenient reserved parking also. The apartment itself was a clean, comfortable home from home with a great view from the living room. Very pleased and didn’t want to go home.”
