“Rosa cottage.
What can I say, WOW.
Beautiful and cosy, and the views are amazing,.
It was lovely and clean, and everything you need is there. And the welcome flowers and biscuits, tea bags and milk, is a lovely gesture. We have already booked for next year. I really didn't want to go home.”
“The apartment we stayed in was very nice and had everything you need.
I found it very frustrating when I needed a question answered before going away.”
“Lovely homely feel to the house. Well stocked kitchen, spacious, gorgeous hearth and fireplace, and loved the attention to detail. Eg. Paintings by local artist, additional hand towel in bathroom, spare tea towels, radio in the dining room, and nice welcome pack on arrival.
Communication was great, and parking to the rear of the property very handy. Literally, 2 minute walk to the harbour.
Thank you for a great visit.”
“The cottage was nice. Its location near the Breezer 40 bus route was a big plus. The provisions supplied were a bit less than other Sykes cottage we've been to.”
“We stayed at Hazel Thorne Hideaway Fritton Norfolk. The site had everything we needed despite being out of season. Great walks and near to the Norfolk coast. We saw seals and walked along the Broads. A great holiday and very reasonably priced, the accommodation was superb and we couldn’t have asked for anything different. Highly recommended”
“We visited Applegarth at Cloughton. House has 3 double bedrooms and an en suite in one as well as the family bathroom. Spotlessly clean and well equipped within walking distance of 2 pubs and 2 more nearby. Ideal for visiting the N yorkshire coast including Whitby, Scarborough, Bembton cliffs RSPB reserve, Bridlington,Robin Hoods bay as well as lots more. Also ideal for exploring inland with loads to visit. The owners live nearby and are very helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.”
“Home from home - well, almost! Beautifully presented property and well equipped ( tho’ the loo brushes need replacing as they’re bald)).Parking is on a first come best served basis but we only had to resort to the car park once( a two minute walk away). We wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.”
“We had a wonderful time at this lovely cosy cottage. The cottage was lovely and warm on arrival, Tom was the perfect host, made sure we were OK and had everything we needed, some lovely fresh eggs, thank you. Everything we needed for the perfect stay plus beautiful scenery. Pictures don't give it justice would highly recommend”
“Easy website to use, so easy to narrow down when searching for holiday properties, to be able to book the perfect getaway.
Once chosen, booking is as simple as looking! Lovely that they offer low booking deposits. Would prefer the option for automatic monthly payments, but they don’t. However you can come in once a month a pay an amount off the holiday, up until 6 weeks prior to holiday. At this point Sykes take the final payment to complete. Fingers crossed they will consider automatic monthly payments going forward.”
“Lobster Lookout
What a delightful holiday Home lobster lookout is its beautifully furnished and renovated to a high standard and quality ornaments really give it a homely air.
The location is perfect just a short walk into Swanage Village and the seafront . The hill is quite steep but for younger visitors easily achievable in six minutes - for us older ones we took the car down to Broad Street car park, two minute drive which is right on the front and shops and reasonably priced.
The garden is very secure for the dogs but we did have to stop our mad Cocker spaniels going onto the upper level as they may have tried to jump down from the high wall !
There’s a big television fully Internet connected in the front room and two of the three large bedrooms also have small TVs with digital TV.
The two double beds in the front two bedrooms were extremely comfortable and the furnishing was excellent. A wardrobe in the bedroom with the dressing table would have been useful though.
The back bedroom also had a double bed and although it was beautifully furnished, my daughter found the double bed most uncomfortable feeling the springs through the mattress and didn’t sleep well. Perhaps this needs renewing.
The bathroom is ultra modern with quality plumbing and very efficient shower and bath.
The kitchen was very well equipped and the downstairs utility room complete with toilet was very useful All in all a wonderful place to stay and if we went back to Swanage, we would probably book here again”
“Best feature of the house is being able to park the car at the side of the house and walk to amenities a short walk away.
Otherwise it needs some updating as others have said ie a new fridge and the carpets being cleaned and oven having a deep clean inside.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.”
“Love this place , position is perfect , cottage is quaint , and the pub is only 29 yards away and counting , beautiful I love it , booked again for next year, I would like a bigger tv in the lounge , and one in the bedroom ,but highly recommend this place perfect for me .”
“The standard of Sykes properties that I have stayed in have all been of good quality and as-described in the website. Pricing and availability is clearly shown and booking is straightforward.
As someone not overly fond of web-sites, I find Sykes' website easy to navigate and quite intuitive as to what I want from a holiday property.”
