“Great company to deal with but to be honest its a bit of a one way street.
While booking and making payments are first class. The same cannot be said if you need to ask a fairly mundane but important to you, question.
Theres no direct way of talking to someone and the Sykes chatbot assumes you want to make a complaint, so in order to actually find the answer to your question and hopefully get in touch with a customer advisor you have to pretend to have a complaint and go through that pattern of button pressing etc.
Having then got through to someone youre told this is our busy period and it may take a while to respond. That took over a day for a response in my case.
Thats not good customer care, thats simply not employing sufficient numbers of staff to cover the increased need at busy periods.”
“Bella cottage in Bolton near Appleby was beautiful and we had a wonderful week there. The only thing I can fault it with was there was no mirror in the main bedroom and the rug in the living room could do with sticking down as it was a little bit slippy when getting off the sofa. Two small things the could be easily fixed. Other than that it was perfect”

The hot tub was a particular treat,with beautiful views across Upper Teasdale.
The only thing I would change if I could would be to move the main bedroom to the front to have that beautiful view to wake up to.”
“This was our fifth visit, the same week each year. The flat was as spic and span this year as it was 5 years ago. We choose this flat for the location - great views, but even more important fantastic wheelchair access for my mother in law (94). I also like going to RSPB Lodmoor - a 5 minute walk away. We also enjoyed a daily coffee at the Stone Pier Cafe. We pay a premium price but feel this is a premium apartment. Only criticism would be that the external windows could do with a clean, but after 3 very blowy days I understand why they weren’t as pristine as we would have liked. We arrived home on the Saturday and by 17:00 had booked the apartment again, this time in September.”

“Lovely cottage with all you need for a great holiday. Plenty of space with the two living rooms and a downstairs toilet. The front garden was great for the dogs and they were totally secure in the courtyard area. We heard from the owner a few times which was very courteous. The welcome pack was brilliant. We hope to revisit.”
“What a fabulous find. Fantastic little cottage with all the amenities you could think of. From the extremely excellent stocked kitchen and utility room to the comfortable and roomy bedrooms, everything was perfect.
There was 5 adults and an elderly fur baby here for a week so plenty of room for all.
Such a pretty part of England and the cottage is well situated to visit various seaside or historical towns. Every place was within 30 minutes drive from the cottage .
Will certainly have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to others”
“The accommodation was amazing and the views were stunning. Lots of good walks around and in a perfect position for visiting Bakewell and other areas. Ample room and great for large groups, there was 10 of us and had sooo much fun.”
“This was a great stay for us - the restored cottage is not only impressive and fascinating for anyone who likes historic buildings but comfortable and well equipped with a delightful enclosed garden and sun traps where you can eat out. The quiet market town has everything you need in a short walking distance. The host Louise could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.”
“Extremely poor customer service. Email address gets returned as unknown. Phone calls take excess of 25 minutes to speak to someone and to cap it all they cancel your holiday when the issue is with them. Second holiday I have had issues with them.”
