“We recently had a three night stay at The Piglet Pod in Llanarth and I can honestly say it was as good as it looks on the website photos.
The setting was lovely, so peaceful and allowed us to get away from the stresses of work etc and really relax. The Piglet Pod was more spacious than expected, it was furnished and dressed in a lovely rustic style and it was immaculately clean. There's a wardrobe for all your clothing and plenty of space for all your belongings. It was fully equipped with a hairdryer if you don't want to take your own, a coffee machine, a cute kitchen with everything you need for a short stay and a lovely bathroom with a great shower!
The hot tub on the patio was an absolutely gorgeous feature, it allowed us to really have some chill out time. The weather in Wales wasn't the best when we were there, it was raining and windy however because the hot tub is set back under the capopy of the pod, it was still usable and because the water was beautifully warm, the rain and wind really didn't matter, infact it was hardly noticable.
The views of the countryside from the pod were just lovely, expecially the three cute alpaca's who were in the field just in front of the pod and it was lovely to watch the swallows swooping around in front of the pod catching bugs whilst in flight.
In the evenings we took a short drive into the local towns of Aberaeron and New Quay. We found a couple of lovely places to eat, our favourite being the Stubborn Duck which we would highly recommend. We really did have a lovely break at the Piglet Pod and would recommended a stay here to anyone who just needs a few days away to recharge their batteries.”

“An absolute gem of a property hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Bridlington. Huge open plan downstairs space that even with 4 people did not feel overcrowded. 2 big double bedrooms. The property was beautifully clean and beautifully presented.
While there is no parking at the property itself there was plenty of room to park on the adjoining street. You can park your car and leave it if you are planning on just going to the beach, harbour and amusements in Bridlington they are just a short walk away.”
“Lovely little hideaway. Lovely hosts. Couldn't have found a more peaceful place to sty with the sounds of the birds and river. Llangollen, berwyn station, and horseshoe falls just a short walk away to name a few. Used the railway to get around on a couple of occasions. All in all a much needed peaceful vacation.”
“We had a very comfortable stay in this well equipped cottage. The weather wasn't great but with parking near by we had a lovely time. The accessible facilities which we needed were very good. I would highly recommend a stay here.”

“Absolutely lovely place,spotless,well equipped, really nice all in all, and a generous welcome pack,we had a question regarding bringing two dogs when site said one only, contacted sykes to ask, they where very fast to respond (unlike a competitor site, bookxng. com who never responded at all) and we where allowed to take both dogs. Only criticism would be that this place like many many others, states things like ,"dogs welcome " but when you go to book it states ONE DOG ! Sykes (and others) Please will you try and sort this out in general,it's so very very common.”
“Great accommodation for our party of 6 adults and 5 children. Plenty of room for all of us and good storage in the bedrooms. The garden was brilliant for playing in especially during a very hot spell of weather. Good base for exploring the Peaks with Sainsbury’s in Matlock a quick 10 min drive away and Co-op a little closer. Reasonably priced. Check in was straightforward.
Could do with a bit of maintenance eg the seats on the chairs in the kitchen could do with re-covering as the leather was flaking away, the first floor shower head leaking but nothing major to grumble about.”
“Excellent cottage for a truly rural break.
Enjoyed a weekend stay with family group, six adults and four children. Very well equipped cottage, comfortable and cozy. Even provided charcoal for the barbecue.
It is very rural, surrounded by working farms, with the associated sounds and smells…..but don’t be put off, it’s a great place to stay.”
“We had a great stay at Elterwater Barn. The house is very modern and is clean and well equipped and comfortable with a small pleasant garden. Parking was easy in a designated space for 2 cars.
The house is in a quiet residential area. Having M&S Food just a short way away in Workington was very useful. The house is perfectly situated for climbing the Loweswater and Ennerdale fells, with Wasdale not very far away.”
“The cottage was very comfortable and very well equiped. The bonus for us was a good size uilitly room for coats, boots, and drying our dog. The garden was lovely and plenty of outdoor seating. The view from the cottage was very special. We also enjoyed Bridget's music collection.”
“We had an excellent short stay, saw lots of friends and family who live in north wales. The house was exactly what we wanted and the hot tub was a great evening activity. Fab communication and we will return!
Only comment (not a criticism at all) was we could have done with a clock in the kids room so they knew what time it was and didn’t get up so early! 😁”
“House was clean with a nice welcome pack but everything very tired and in need of refurbishment, especially the hot water system upstairs which doesn't work properly.”
“The property is new and well kept. Well equipped kitchen and well appointed rooms. There were little touches with cookies, bread, jam and butter!
The only feedback would be to put locks on the bathroom doors. That was a bit odd. Overall a good property to stay in!”
