“We had a lovely break at Sycamore Lodge last week our second visit and we’ll be back! Me and Anthony were perfect hosts and the lodge was spotlessly clean Warm and cosy.
Our dog Daisy loves being there with the vast lawn to play on. Unfortunately on the Wednesday she sliced her stop pad open going down the steps by the old Lizard life it station. So be warned if you are taking your dog down there as we met another lady whose dog had done the same thing!!
If you have an electric car I would recommend charging at the Tesla charging station in Camborne it’s cheaper and you just need the app. You don’t have to drive a Tesla and there is a nice cafe there and we have never found it busy.
Thank you Anthony for the guided tour of the cows, calf’s and bull we really enjoyed it and thank you Meg for the cream tea. I being born in Devon put cream on first and Lynn jam first😂
We would recommend the vets in Helston “Head and Head”while Daisy was being stitched they even made us a cup of tea!❤️

“Nice apartment, lovely location, but it was not cleaned when we checked in! Worse was the lack lustre response from Sykes, very disappointed with their customer care. After several phone calls and 2 hours a cleaner arrived all okay with his service however Sykes did no follow-up call or check that all was okay. My wife and I are in our mid 70's and had driven 3.5 hours, it was late Friday afternoon and were offered a refund, which was unwanted and inappropriate at the start of a weeks holiday in the lake district.”
“Very clean, light, bright and comfortable. More spacious than expected. Kitchen had everything we needed, however rather compact shower room. Central yet quiet location. Great views of canal and bridge. Always found a parking space close to cottage. Surprised unable to find emergency contact details, instructions on utilities, nor fire blanket/extinguisher.”
“The cottage was in a superb location within the grounds of culzean castle. It was a very comfortable and well equipped property.
Only negatives was trying to work out how to turn down the heating and how to turn off under floor heating as it was far too hot when we arrived and for the next day or so.
The wooden bathroom floor was worn and some ants inside near the door and also later found some on the kitchen floor. there was no ant powder or similar available to use. I think the bathroom and shower is in need of an update and lets the property down somewhat.”
