“River House is absolutely stunning. I think the nicest place we have stayed. The house is immaculately clean and has a very well stocked kitchen with utensils, cutlery, pots and pans etc. The beds comfortable. There is a beautiful library with books and dvds, such a peaceful place. The family room area is also very peaceful with a private courtyard and access to the stunning garden. I highly recommend River House and of course the picturesque village of Ramelton.”

There was everything we needed in the house, the only gripe is there was nowhere to put gels, shampoo in the upper shower rooms”

Friendly dogs welcomed us each day. Comfy outside area although cold wind spoilt that experience. Visited a few national trust properties which were beautifuly in flower.”
“Lovely location in a quiet setting with woods at rear for local walks. Delightful gardens and paddock for the dog. Well equipped kitchen including dishwasher, airfryer, microwave and kitchen utensils. Steep stairs to the bedrooms - but worth the climb if knees allow! Appreciated the towelling bath robes. Clearly a dog friendly property- with the exception of the bedrooms ( which suited us as ours is not allowed anyway!)”
