A pity that Holiday Insurance cannot be added later than the initial deposit payment.
Would prefer more Saturday - Saturday availability (driving on Fridays, navigating lorries and heavy traffic causes more stress at the beginnings and ends of holidays; and a "Sunday Rest" after long journeys is much more relaxing than losing a Saturday.”
“We have only used one of a Sykes Cottages but we have been very pleased with it and are sorry that it is not available next year. The Cottage itself is very well situated for us and we love the quiet. There have been one or two minor issues. The Cottage we rented allowed Dogs. That was not a problem to us at first until my Husband found that by sitting on the sofa he was, quite litterally, covered in dog hair. Other minor issues included NO LOCK on the bathroom door. WHY??
We will be staying at another Sykes Property next year in the same location. We look forward to it.”

“Lovely home in a great location . Well equipped home .great location for visiting other areas . Right on the beach . Parking provided . WiFi provided , cot, baby gates and high chair available . Garden with shower area outside for sandy toes .park just over the road for little ones Great stay”
“Disappointed with this flat it was quite dirty in places. The sofas are broken. The oven wasn’t clean.
It said three minutes walk to the beach which was 20 minutes down a steep Hill.
Not normal standard for Sykes cottages.”

From a health point of view it was wonderful to know that the owners to not accept smokers or dogs. Such a refreshing stance.

“Lovely place stopped twice now will be back, ideal facility’s ideal location, only down side parking is tight for a larger car, but they do give an alternative off site car park so you can’t do better than that.”
“Four of us and two dogs stayed at Smithy cottage in Bowland Bridge. The cottage was in a beautiful location and was very comfortable and was very well equipped. We really enjoyed our two week stay and the dogs loved the very large enclosed garden as did we. There were a couple of negative things the mattress on the bed with the bed frame was very uncomfortable and one of group had to sleep in the single bed as they had a bad back, the shower was dangerous as on high power it was far too hot and there were absolutely no house instructions letting you know about bin collection etc . We left the cottage as clean as we could but there were no cleaning products. Nevertheless we did have a good holiday.”
