“When booking the cottage no problem at all, but we needed to talk to customer services could not get through in fact we were cut off several times,the only way we could speak to someone was to contact sales and they put us through it still took about 20 mins for phone to be answered, not good in fact we
will think carefully before booking with Sykes again it's just to much trouble and wasted time!!
Please sort this out A S A P we have booked cottages with Sykes for many years never had this problem

“We have stayed in numerous cottages through Sykes and this one was definitely the most picturesque. The garden and surrounding countryside is beautiful, we made good use of the binoculars from the view from the dining room bifold doors.
It’s been renovated to a high standard with really comfy beds and pillows and had everything we needed for a weeks stay, apart from a masher in the kitchen for our mashed potato and swede with our Sunday lunch but we managed.
A few bits of dust and cobwebs but you are in the countryside so some is to be expected.
Set in a lovely village with a nice pub and friendly locals. We had food there to which was nice and reasonably priced.
The cottage is well positioned to visit numerous nearby sites/villages and beaches.
All in all had a nice weeks stay.”

Kirk Yett is perfectly positioned for scenic walks and exploring local villages. Had a perfect walk on the Dales Way to Burnsall and a lovely lunch at the Riverbank cafe. Also enjoyed exploring Grassington with all it's independant shops and lucky enough to hear a bell ringing concert.
It was a challenge to find hidden carved mice...we got to 5.
We've really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back.”
“Cowrie cottage is a real gem. It’s extremely well presented by the owner. It’s clean and comfortable with all necessary requirements for a short break. The wood burner provides a cosy atmosphere in the evenings.
Cowrie cottage is located close to Cullercoats harbour, coffee shops, restaurants and the metro station making travel extremely easy.”

“No problems with booking and the cottage was fine. We do have an issue with the directions for getting there. We arrived in the area and it took us an hour to find the property which was not what we needed after a long journey getting there. The printed directions were rubbish and duplicated. Not all of it was due to Sykes. The entrance to the property is essentially on a corner, looks like the entrance to a field and the sign is small and grey so virtually invisible from the road unless driving at 5 mph and coming from the right direction to see it. I assume Sykes have visited the property and so would expect them to realise the problem and highlight it on the directions. We were unlucky as the road leading to the property was marked as closed for an unknown reason the day we arrived, just our bad luck.”
