“The cottage we stayed in was beautiful,lovely quite and peaceful location its was very clean and the interior was just as lovely . The garden was again lovely I sat out there nearly all day just reading and winding down. It was just what the doctor orded getting away and recharge ingredients, my little dog loved it aswell.”

We love a little lodge break and flit between both sites.
This time back to dobwalls and stayed at 15 horizon view based on reviews, always try different ones everytime we go and this one is probably right up at the top.
Got everything you need in terms of kitchenware for cooking meals and a variation of drinks, nice layout and very secluded.
Weather was perfect and we extended from Friday into Monday being bank holiday.
Garden is incredible which opens up and has its own little hill with viewing point.
Few suggestions which I feel would benefit
1, open up the little pond to the left of the lodge, hard to see but would be a real nice feature if it had glass screens instead of bushes.
2, definitely needs outdoor lighting for the hot tub
3, top of the hill could do with a restore and made into a feature, massive plus which could be well used.

“Brock House is truly fabulous and has to be in the top 3 of any rental property we've ever had the pleasure of staying in. It really is an exceptional property, aesthetically top drawer, but practical, comfortable and functional too - even the kitchen knives were sharp which is a rarity indeed! We loved the home from home features like the air fryer and bathrobes, and thoroughly enjoyed luxuries such as the hot tub and absolute quiet, although at the same time being just 2 mins from the A19, so getting around and visiting the area was super easy too. We are in the process of booking our next visit - first class!”

“Just spent a very enjoyable week at Taigh Na Talia. The location was absolutely spectacular with stunning views and lovely walks directly from the cottage. The cottage itself was very clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything one could need for an enjoyable stay. The owners having thought of everything and were also extremely helpful in terms of providing useful and additional information in terms of the check in process and even a guide to the location of the lovely photographs of stunning local scenery displayed throughout the cottage. A big thank you for making our stay such a great experience.”

“I have been a loyal customer of Sykes since 2010.
This week I booked 3 more cottages for the coming year and I have a small issue.
The customer service is absolutely appalling.
I emailed 3 days ago and have heard nothing.
WhatsApp was the suggested method as the phone number seems to be "missing" on the website.
36 hours and no answer....
Eventually Google found the phone number....... 45 minutes on hold.... No answer.
I am debating whether to cancel my 3 bookings and am pretty sure if I don't they will be my last.
There are lots of other companies offering holiday cottages and if Sykes want to remain near the top of the list they seriously need to step up on customer service - or even, in this case, actually offer some at all.
Not happy and would not recommend on the basis of this. Heaven help anyone who needs urgent help with a booking or anything else.”
“Very comfortable and clean in a lovely location. We were unable to access BBC on the TV, and the electric fire was too technically advanced for us, but the central heating compensated. WiFi was hit and miss, but otherwise, couldn't fault the facilities.”

Would have appreciated a reply from owner and subsequently Sykes with regard to query regarding TV in the bathroom. (Ie how to get it to work)
