“We really enjoyed our short stay at The Burrow. This was our first stay in a lodge and we were pleasantly surprised and impressed. It is comfortable, clean and well equipped. We also enjoyed the fact that it is in a quiet location.”

“Brilliant location. A couple of issues. Batteries in the TV remote control were dead which was inconvenient. I replaced them. Also there were workers working on the gutters which I had not been made aware of prior to the visit. One a couple of days the noise made was annoying.”
“First 24 hours we had problems due to electrical issues causing the fuse box to repeatedly trip. Power sockets in the old house remained inoperative throughout our stay but we used an extension lead run from the kitchen in order to power the washing machine so all was not lost.
The hot tub had been set to a much lower temperature than normal. I changed this manually with guidance over the phone from owner.
That all said, the beds were super comfy, the kitchen / dining room / sitting room area was very bright and airy and the cottage was in a good location.”

“We had a great time at The Old Postoffice.
Unfortunately, the house was cold on the first night and I couldn’t get hold of the Owner until the morning, thank goodness for the warm throws on the beds 🤣.
However, when I did speak to him, he could have been more accommodating and came and sorted the heating out and also came back an hour later to check it was still working.
Great location for a walk to see the nearby cows and also 15 mins Uber into the centre of York.
Nice rooms, good kitchen & dining room with good facilities also a decent sized lounge with big telly.
We used the hot tub a few times during the stay which was lovely and warm.
Would definitely recommend and stay again.”
“The property is very dated but it served its purpose for the time we were there. The hot tub made the stay worthwhile as we used it every day. The property is very close to the town centre and to some lovely walks. As mentioned already to the owner's son, a basic welcome pack would be a nice touch , particularly as check in isn't until 5pm. Fortunately I'd taken bread, milk, eggs, butter etc with me otherwise we would've had to find a supermarket as soon as we arrived. There wasn't any shower gel in the shower which meant we had to use handwash until the next day when we could get to the supermarket.”
