“I was informed ( four days before my holiday) that ' unfortunately those dates had already been booked and therefore that property was no longer available. Two other properties were offered and I accepted one of them in a nearby location to the original,but still I was not happy with the way it was handled or the attitude of the call centre staff.”

“The house I stayed at was excellent, comfortable and well equipped. However Sykes cottages does not offer good customer service now it has been taken over by a larger company. Having to contact you by messenger is not satisfactory. Disappointing development. A customer should be able to phone and discuss matters with an individual”

And for anything else there is a friendly assistant at the other end of the phone. And the descriptions of the cottages are always correct. Never exaggerated. I would recommend Sykes to anyone.”

“We had a fantastic stay at 15 Faraway Fields. The lodge was a great size, had everything we needed (including a fantastic Hot Tub) and was clean and tidy throughout. EV Charger at the lodge had a little problem but the staff were so helpful and managed to find us a spare one on site we could use instead. Views from the lodge were stunning and especially enjoyed watching the Moorhens, Ducks and Bunnies around the lake. Overall a fantastic holiday and we’ll definitely come back. Thanks to Sally who we were in contact with for making sure everything went smoothly and to the owners for having such a fantastic place for us to stay.”
