“I like to book with sykes, it so very easy with no trouble and the information is always sent to me about my next upcoming holiday. Definitely recommend.”
“A very comfortable well equipped house with plenty of space for a 3 generational family of 9. Great location, just a short walk to the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants plus parking for 2 cars - ticked all of the boxes for us.”
“Little Cow House was clean, well equipped and peaceful (with beautiful views). Loved the surroundings with ponies and spring lambs. Heather was great with directions (and cake!).”
“We have been to a few Sykes cottages, they have all been lovely. Each one lovely and clean, modern and beautifully decorated. Kitchens fully equipped with everything you need. I would recommend booking a Sykes cottage.”
“Beautiful house in a lovely location. Very well equipped and the open plan kitchen/lounge suited us well. The children loved playing in the garden. House instructions were a little confusing, particularly reduce collection.”
“The cottages listed/provided are fantastic and the booking is easy and straightforward. The main negative is that their costumer service is a bit lacking, i.e., if you have questions about the property you are directed a whatsapp link, which you can type in your question, but I never heard back. After 24 hours you get a message saying that this message is now old and will be set to innactive (regardless of the fact that I was still waiting to get a response).”
“We had a great week at Batemans in Nailsworth. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed and the directions and entry details were very clear. The location was perfect for the town centre.”
“The cottage we stayed in was lovely perfect place . But communication with Sykes via AI rubbish and takes a while as all on chat which when they say chat takes hours !”
“The cottage itself is really nice, clean, well furnished and equipped throughout. It is also well situated as only a short walk down( and up!)the hill to lovely Salcombe centre which is really delightful.
Beds were comfortable with good linen and towels. There is good WiFi and access to Netflix and YouTube. With a few details this accommodation could be top notch. These are -Firstly, the outside of the property really needs some attention both front and back. Particularly to the back which is a small enclosed area which would be ideal to sit out in but is overgrown and neglected with basic garden furniture which does not make it at all welcoming. Next, the kitchen/dining area is bright and well laid out but the conservatory style windows were covered with seagull droppings.
It needs noting that the stairs are very steep although there are banisters either side .
There definitely needs to be some sort of grab rail for accessing the shower which is over the bath as there is nothing to hold onto when climbing in/out which we thought was a real health and safety issue. Finally it would be a real help to have a cottage "book" with things such as where the local shops are( Co-op round the corner), suggestions for walks , restaurants, local ferries etc. This would be a real help.”
“We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Saddlery on Old Hall Farm in Attlebridge. It was the perfect base for exploring Norfolk - close enough to Norwich for convenience, yet wonderfully rural, giving us easy access to all corners of the county.
The setting is idyllic, surrounded by alpacas, sheep and lambs. The barn conversion itself is beautifully done: modern and incredibly comfortable. Everything being on one level was perfect our 14‑month‑old, and the layout - with the main living space being open and central, made family time relaxed and easy.
The setup with two large double bedrooms, each with its own ensuite and smart TV, worked brilliantly. Although the property sits alongside other barns, we still had complete privacy thanks to the well‑designed, fully enclosed garden. Our dog loved having a secure, landscaped space to roam freely.
We also loved the peaceful walk across the fields to Ringland, where we enjoyed dinner at the local pub.
During our stay, we explored loads of brilliant Norfolk attractions, all very accessible from the Saddlery:
•Wells‑next‑the‑Sea – charming harbour, independent shops, and lovely walks.
•Holkham Hall – stunning grounds and a great day out for families.
•Holkham Beach – huge, breathtaking, and perfect for a long stroll.
•Bug Parc – fascinating and surprisingly fun for all ages.
•Pensthorpe – beautiful wildlife reserve with brilliant play areas.
•All Day Brewing – a great little stop for local craft beer.
•Overstrand – quieter coastal spot, lovely for a relaxed wander.
The Saddlery was the ideal location for all of this - peaceful yet wonderfully central for exploring the whole of Norfolk.
We found the entire stay serene, relaxing, and exceptionally well thought‑out for families, dog‑owners, and anyone looking for a countryside retreat. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more and would highly recommend it. We’d love to return!”
“A great location for exploring Anglesey, with everything we needed for short break. Welcoming and friendly hosts. Great views from front windows and rear balcony. Would happily return to explore more of the area. Thank you again.”
