“Kept me fully informed throughout the whole process of ordering. I haven’t as yet taken delivery as it is for a French property but it will be on its way very soon. All my questions were answered and after I had ordered a bbq shelf and Esse had informed Stovesonline that it would not fit the inside the oven a refund was immediately made. Excellent customer service.”

“communication was encouraging as everyone seemed to be knowledgeable about the product. Where it started to become slightly confusing for both parties was when we needed specific information on chimney design and installation.Many very 'clever' diagrams were sent but all lacked some vital information and each challenged the other. We eventually got there and received the parts for the chimney, including what turned out to be 6 extra bags of Leca (not our calculation!) The stove when it arrived was fitted for Spanish measurements so UK parts did not make sense and had to be re-ordered from Spain. Throughout the trials and tribulations Stovesonline couldn't have been more supportive. We know this stove from Spain where it functions well for half the price, nevertheless we look forward to winter's nights when it throws out its heat (until the UK government ban wood fires)”

Hi both, Thanks for your kinds words. The UK government are not planning to ban wood stoves at all. But they do have plans in place to make them more efficient and to make sure that firewood is dry. In the meantime we are pushing ahead of schedule with our own stoves to drive down emissions with some now coming in around 60% under the emissions limits set for cities like London. Your Opus stove already beats the Ecodesign emissions target for 2022. We'll be pushing this even further with our automated wood pellet boilers. But yes - no plan to ban wood stoves is on the cards.
