“I have only had 1 call out years ago and the service then was excellent therefore I have stuck with you. The only complaint I have is the price increase this time, I was going to go with someone else but on the comparison sites I got a renewal with you £20+ less than the quote. You explained the increase becue of the age of my car, for the record my car may be 11 years old but it is serviced regulerly and has only done 28000 miles. On the renewal there is no mention of a price reduction if you opt for an excess.”

We would like to confirm that the reason there is no mention of an excess policy within your renewal is because renewal invites offer you to renew based on the existing policy you have, it's like for like. If you had an excess policy, your renewal invite would offer you a renewal with an excess. We hope this has provided some clarification.
