“Only required a flat tyre wheel change but assistance was quite quick and reliable and friendly call out person. I had recommended Start Rescue to my daughter who then had an accident only a few days later from joining and had excellent accident and recovery of vechicle. Both of us greatly impressed. Plus no other breakdown service competes with your annual joining costs that have also never increased. Thank you.”

“On 3 February my car wouldn’t start so called Start Rescue and someone came out to charge up my battery. While out shopping the car wouldn’t start again so I called Start to get someone out to charge the battery again. I was given several arrival times, but I ended up spending 5 HOURS in a car park on my own waiting for someone to rescue me. During which time by car was hit by a shopping trolley. Victoria Recovery finally turned up at around 6 pm, by which time it was dark. Absolutely shocking service!”

“I moved to Start Rescue two years ago due to a strong recommendation by 'Which?', plus a very competitive price. I have needed a call-out on just one occasion, when my clutch failed in slow-moving traffic on the A12, and a recovery truck was with me in thirty minutes. I was pretty impressed with that, and the renewal price was still great value.”

“The main selling point was how great value for money it was compared to the bigger boys, but unfortunately despite not making any call outs again this year, the cost has basically doubled. So any enthusiasm and good will is now gone.”

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. The price of a Start Rescue policy is based on the age and type of vehicle and the level of cover you have chosen. Rewarding loyalty is something that is very important to us and we do so for every Start Rescue customer by automatically including savings in your renewal quote, meaning that renewing customers will never pay more than our standard website retail prices. Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We took the step last year to be more transparent to customers, with regards to the fees that we apply to policies. The arrangement and administration fee is for administering your policy and handling breakdown claims, instead of, or in addition to receiving commission from the insurer. We collect our fee within the same transaction, as we used to, but now detail our fee within the breakdown of the price you will pay.
