“I had no issue browsing through their catalog, and I was able to easily make an informed decision on my purchase. Interestingly, I had to use a different debit card since the first one I used prohibited doing transactions from Latvia (where Sonarworks is located) and other various countries.”

“The website is a little confusing. I was looking for the room software with the mic and I wasn't sure what the difference was with sonarworks and SoundID Reference but they're the same thing? Maybe you guys are rebranding? Anyways, I feel like there are too many options and maybe you can simplify what people are looking for.”

“I downloaded the SoundID trial after finding that one pair of my headphones was in the profile list. I was immediately surprised and delighted at the way it clarified the soundstage for mixing. I felt able to make mixing decisions with greater confidence. I have chosen to purchase only the headphones SoundID product at this stage, but I will certainly consider upgrading to the full product with calibrated microphone in the future.”

“Great product. Changed my attitude towards constructing a room. I will recommend this to all my students. Before purchasing the product it was not easy to understand the pricing and was hard to get a clear understanding of the product i needed and its price. The interface is quite uncomfortable and not very intuitive. However, these are all minor issues compared to the massive chain in my room’s listening experience.”

Hi, Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it! We're happy to know you are enjoying your time with the SoundID Reference! Regarding the speaker presets, there are no pre-made speaker profiles available in SoundID Reference as they have to be created for the specific room and speaker combination that you have. Most of the studio monitors will be (almost) flat in an anechoic chamber, but that changes when your specific room comes into the picture. Because of this, our users have to measure the speaker profiles themselves. We have a measurement microphone available for purchase in our Sonarworks.com store, or it is also possible to use a third-party measurement microphone (as long as it is an actual measurement microphone with omnidirectional capability). “Generous trial period and simple payment process. Registration of product was painless. I do wish there were more local options for getting the individually calibrated headset bundle in my area (Quebec, Canada) but preset calibration existed for my current headset which suits my needs for now.”

“Since I knew about this application i looked forward to get it, because I’m always moving from apartment to apartment and sometimes the rooms I fit all my stuff are the worst acoustically speaking. This software make my music production so much easier. I can listen to my tracks on my monitors in a more realistic way, without worrying about the bass and if it’s too loud or is it just the axial modes of the room. The download, install was super easy, and the calibration of the speakers felt like magic, with a super comprehensive and intuitive user interface. The only thing i would love in future updates is that the cpu peaks get fixed, sometimes I get glitching sounds because of that. Probably is my Mac, I’ve already contacted support and I’m fingers crossed that the help figuring out this problem.”

“Overall, I had no problems finding information, registering and installing the software. Everything is very intuitive and easy to work with. For me, the big problem is in the SoundID Reference for Headphones. I have written you two emails with a suggestion for an improvement to make it easier for users, namely the ability to load a crossfeed plugin before or after the corrective EQ. In a DAW it's easy, but for Windows sound It gets complicated.”
